It's a fragment of Ambition- one spawned from her blood while she fled for her life. In it's fall from the heavens, it's mind was shattered and cast into the red sands, now living on only as fragments of memory trapped inside every grain. All it knows is it's incomplete, and it's hungry.

Rex whistles a low tune to the marble he has his hand placed on. The stone rattles, and a chunk of it falls off, revealing another inch of the statue. He sighs and wipes sweat from his brow. "At this rate it'll take weeks." His boss chuckles "You can't rush art." Rex rolls his eyes "You can though! Wih a link, we could do this so much faster!" "And so much less detailed. The low power of magic is a blessing, Rex. A warm meal is pleasant, and soothes an aching stomach, but fire burns you! Things are better in moderation."
