  4. lol I have too modes: Smart/wise psych student and responsible moderator, and then sometimes I'm an irresponsible teenager who doesn't sleep well and spends too much time online
  5. I do think tracking moods n such is good, but journaling your thoughts/feelings/worries is even more important, especially for sleep. Because when you're trying to sleep, thinking and stressing is the worst thing for you. You basically want your brain as empty as possible. (Which is why you'll often see recommendations about counting sheep, counting, making an alphabetized list, etc.)
  6. There's some good studies on this as well actually. It's really beneficial to journal (or meditate, but journal is generally better) a bit before bed. Write out literally everything that's bothering you or causing you stress or anxiety, get it alllll out like 30-60 mins before bed, or just anytime before trying to go to sleep. If you take time to reflect on that beforehand, your brain won't be thinking about them quite as much when you're actually going to sleep. (And I understand not doing a physical journal because parents can find it, def fair. But if typing it is a possibility, that's always good, can do a password protected note in the apple notes app, or I think Word documents can be password protected as well. And if you can't do journaling of any kind, meditation is still good) Also, cool thing I learned today that's good for your sleep: If you're on a device before bed, you can adjust the color filters to only show red/warm lights, no blue light. (Since blue light specifically blocks the production of melatonin). If you have an apple device, you do it like this: (under accessibility settings)
  7. Potentially xD In the study, when it says all-cause mortality, it doesn't literally mean every cause, it just means life expectancy not from any particular cause. (Tho they did also look at cancer and heart problems specifically as well)
  8. Huh, just read this really interesting scientific study that found that sleep consistency is even more important than sleep duration, in terms of reducing your mortality rate. Going to bed and waking up at consistent times every night (within 15-20ish mins of the same time) correlates with a 20-48% lower risk of mortality from all causes. This is the joy of getting to College ya'll xD I can legit just take a Harry Potter class and have it count for a credit I need xD College can be daunting but there are def upsides lol (not that I want to take this specific class, but there's so many random easy classes like this, like BREWING classes of all things) *I also get to pick my schedule, and all my classes next semester are from like 12pm-4pm *

  22. Solo Leveling is the same way. It's got very little emotional or character depth, the plot is very predictable, but it's just awesome. Jinwoo is hot and the fight scenes are just really really good.
