  1. On the theory itself, I think it's really interesting but we don't really know if Kandra can mate with humans and produce fully human offspring. however, another possibility is that the nameless mother is a returned, most likely one of the five scholars, as they are the only reborn we know of to have mastered their shapeshifting abilities. however i dont think this is possible because then all of these people would inherit the royal locks at least. this means it is some other immortal being, with no genetic abilities. This leads to a guess that Zane is not in this list. as i believe it was implied that his mother was one of straffs slaves, so i think its safe to remove him. Also, some people can be excluded from that list, namely Vin, as her mom is confirmed dead, and Shallan, as her mom is also confirmed dead (unless she's channah) and if Shallan killed her mother then her mother could not have also been Lifts mother. Eliminating all alive mothers as well because would lead to timeline issues. This leaves us with the following list, given in chronilogical order, as far as we know Shalash Kenton Raoden Siri, Vivenna, Ridger, and Fafen (22-17 in age range) Elend (Born 1000 FE) Spook Steris Tanalan Jr Lift (13)
  2. A lot of these are good, but the one that hit me the hardest was Arclo's reveal in Edgedance. I had to put the book down and walk away for a second. the way we slowly learn more, starting with "Oh no, that old guy is in trouble!" to "What! the two skybreakers are dead" to "HES MADE OF BUGS AND CAN EASILY KILL TWO RADIANTS!"
  3. Going off of memory we have: Raoden Elend Vin, not applicable Kenton Siri and Vivenna Shallan Adolin and Renarin: subverted and not applicable I think that's it, but might be more
  4. Insite check...5. well if he is hiding something Gyl probably doesn't know. "Do you know what the goblins did?"
  5. Gylgwyn approaches the bartender at the tavern "so, tell me more about this army,"
  6. thanks! didn't catch that
  7. It's Intelligence not IQ in 5e, and you should be fine with average INT Your saving throws are just your state bonuses except for two (determined by class, Con and Cha for sorcerer) you add your proficiency to those two. Your HP is your hit die maximum+con. sorcerers get 6+con starting HP, and add 1d6+CON every level. your total HP at level 2 should be 6+1d6+con+con, so roll 1d6 and add it to ten. as a sorcerer, you are only proficient in daggers, darts, slings, quarterstaffs, and light crossbows. the sorcerer overall isn't really a Melee class, with one of the lowest HP pool in the game. Quarterstaffs use your strength, so you would get a +2 (STR+Prof) bonus to attacks and a +0 bonus to damage. your sling bonus is +5 (dex+prof) and a +3 to damage roll. this is what gives you your racial spells. Have you picked a sorcerous origin (Subclass)? I really like your concept but I'm worried that sorcerer might not be the class for it. if you want to play a sword and spell character, I would suggest eldritch knight fighter, Paladins, arcane Trickster rouges, or blade singer wizards. sorcerer works best as a pure casting class.
  8. Gyl is more of a magical detective, a representative of a government body tasked with investigating weirdness.
  9. I guess there isn't necessarily evidence for that, I just noticed patterns and wanted to share what I found. I think it would be cool, but I know it will probably be entertaining in the end nontheless.
  10. Alright, here's mine. ddb.ac/characters/57638060/gz1Gst Gilgwyn Dreirdacoth, High elf wizard, junior Auditor of the arcane conclave, faymond branch. It's her job to investigate magical phenomena and other strange happenings and stabalize the situation.
  11. also just to summarize, we have a ranger, a paladin, and a Bardbarian Monk, all of which have a total level of 3. I like making sure the thing I choose to play meshes well with the rest of the party. from what I can tell, yall have Strength, Charisma, Dex, Wisdom, and probably constitution down, so I think I will play a wizard or an Artificier, most likely a wizard since half caster is also covered. I shall now begin formulating a character.
  12. by "attribute method" I'm assuming you mean point buy, 4d6 drop, 3d6, etc? I've not heard that specific term but I'm pretty sure it's that. also yeah 5e as well forgot to specify.
  13. Hey! Im interested in joining! got room for one more? Im a pretty experienced player, so I can help out if anyone needs a hand.
  14. left to right front to back. Elend, Lift, Shallan, Nightblood, Jahsnah, Iadon, Eshonai, TenSoon. I haven't watched steven universe so if this isn't 100% accurate sorry I'm mostly going off the photo and a few things I picked up from talking with friends.
  15. We also lack any reason to believe that they're wrong about the seventh land. Ym states that the seventh land is where the Iriali will become one again (which kinda sounds ominous tbh) and Brandon has acknowledged that there is a story being told; to me, this indicates that there is definitely something in store for the Iriali. Also, I recently came across a line in Chapter 36 of Oathbringer where Evi tells Dalinar that the "One" lives in the valley. I think that the conflation of the Nightwatcher/cultivation and the One might be a mix of cultural blending of the Ashyn/Rosharen and Iri cultures, possibly due to the one and cultivation coming from the same source (both being shards). I don't think the Nightwatcher is the One, just because I feel like the information we know about both entities doesn't add up.
  16. I feel like if anything will become of the Iriali it will be at the Seventh land unless Brandon wants to be intentionally chaotic with their storyline and kill off the Iriali before they reach the seventh land to establish stakes or something. the likelihood of something like this happening isn't really calculatable, so going off of what we know the only reasonable conclusion for the Iriali is the seventh land. IDK how they would leave, perhaps if they are splinters (Which I do imagine acting like the Nalthiens but without the ability to transfer breath) Then they have some portable perpendicularity ritual. Idk but I'm interested in following them.
  17. Its been a bit since i read Warbreaker, and I lent my copy to a friend.
  18. Now, realistically I would choose Feruchemist, but due to the infinite resources loophole, I would choose awakening. Infinite breaths would do all of the infinite healing listed above, plus immortality and better pitch and etc. Infinite Breaths would make you possibly the most powerful being in the cosmere.
  19. Yes. The fact that we know so little about dragons makes them even cooler!
  20. The Boy is also Iriali.
  21. I think Ym specifically says the Iriali are on the long trail. I don't believe there are any other followers of the Iri philosophy that contradicts this.
