  1. To be fair, the lines between the genres are sometimes really flimsy and hard to define. For example, in the beginning of their career Bon Jovi said their music was metal. And no, it wasn't. I really like it, but it's rock. Nor even hard rock, as I would call AC/DC and Black Sabbath, but I'm more of a metalhead myself. Anyway, there is absolutely nothing wrong with classic rock. Or any kind of rock.
  2. I admit that I am quiet new here too, but so far I haven't encountered any hidden dangers. I did read that some members do not like swearing as storming much as I do, so I try to tune that down. So welcome aboard! To you too, Fireball300!
  3. Hi kelcib, welcome to the forum and enjoy the ride... er, read!
  4. I have to admit, I never really thought about it. One of the great things about Sandersons works is, that every character is incredibly well written. Everyone feels rounded, has his or her flaws and simply feels real. At least to me. So, there are two characters I really enjoyed reading about and I would actually call my favorites: First there is Lopen. It's always funny whe he's around and he's the one who never loses hope. No matter how bad things get for him, he makes jokes and goofes around. It's his argessiv optimism, bordering on insanity that I really like. The other one is Obliteration. Yeah, nicely insane. Always noticing more than he should and having a nice mysterious touch about him. I'll probably like him less if that mystery is more lifted. Thanks! I meant to introduce me too, but I just applied to the procrastinators club and I don't want to give a bad first impression.
  5. Have there been any news? I checked the linked page (official Magic the Gathering) and it said that the story was offline due to a pending physical release. I do not know how long it said so and how long this might take but I really hope that they do mean a release in english. It might be possible that the story was taken offline due to the release of the german physical edition in november last year. Same thing happend to a short story of Simon Beckett a while ago. Does anyone have more information on this one?
  6. Hi RavenSlayer, welcome to the forum! I'm pretty new here myself but this really seems to be a nice place to talk all things Sanderson and more. What's your favorite character?
  7. Subnautica After the game was free on PS4 during the last Days of Play, I gave it a try. And it really didn't click. The resource gathering was a mindnumbing grind, the map way too convoluted and the survival mechanics simply annoying. I swallowed my gamerpride and used a walkthrough to finish the game and without worrying where to go next and what to bring I finally could enjoy the sometimes simply stunning setting. In the end I was even a little sad to leave the planet. So, a few weeks ago the PS5 Version was released as a free update. And I tried the game again. Now with a lot more knowledge on how to approach the different problems and extremely shortend loading times (about 20 seconds compared to the 50 seconds of the PS4 Version on PS5, 120 seconds on a PS4Pro or 200 seconds on a base PS4). It still is storming buggy, the resource grinding is still annoying but I am right before the final decent to the lava castle and I am having a lot of fun this time around. If I had to give this game a rating, I would give it a 7/10, quiet good, but held back by bugs and annoying design choices. Actually, I can't wait to try Subnautica Below Zero when I'm finished.
