Hey, guys, I have officially watched The Wolverine and X-men: Days of Future Past. Ima do a brief review on both movies and then do a ranking of the X-men films I have seen, as well as explaining something.

The Wolverine was an enjoyable film with great moments. It's by no means a masterpiece, but it does some good things, yet it doesn't tie any of it fully together in the poignant way it needed to. It lacks a certain glue to hold all the great elements together, as well as a potentially brighter and zanier version of the Japan we saw in the film. Over all, if I show anyone the original trilogy at least, this film is a must watch. This is a companion to The Last Stand and helps to clean up the mess that Matt Rhatner created. 6/10

Days of Future past is a good movie. It's fun, it has great moments, it has cool characters. However, I do not agree with the people that say that this is the best x-men movie. It's a fun movie, yes, it has cool ideas, yes, it has great sequences. I just didn't connect with the arcs that the character's went on in the film nearly as much as in, say, First Class or X2. I loved the last bit where he sees the professor tho. That was great. 7.5/10

And now, to rank every x-men film! Some of my choices might be a lil surprising, it surprises myself, but I think it's a good ranking.

First class gets easy dubs, taking first place. Why? Because it's mostly a Magneto and Charles story and they're the best characters in the franchise, easily. X2 is also insanely well written, one of the best sequels and set up for a final chapter we've ever had (shamed by the last stand, since the thing it was setting up sucked.) Days of Future past just doesn't feel on par with most of the films I would put in S tier.

And now, for the inal bit of this post. Days of Future Past is probably where I end my x-men journey. It has been fun, but knowing that most of the rest of the films are either crap or rated r, I think I'll stop it now. The only one I might watch else is X-men origins: wolverine, if only to laugh at how bad I hear it is. And also to get somewhat of a taste of Deadpool in a pg-13 setting, cause r-rated humor is a bit much for me.

Then again, I may come back to these films, especially First Class, and think "Hey, I wanna watch what happened next." If that ever happens and I watch Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix... well, you better believe I'll make a post on it.

But, for now, I'm done with the fox x-men. It feels good to have finally watched these. Great films, I'll def be recommending them to people. I'll be watching X-men 97, however. If you haven't watched it and enjoyed these, I highly recommend it to you. Even if you haven't seen the OG series, which I have not, it can stand as its own thing. You can gather enough context that it works. If it doesn't, there's an honest trailer for the OG series that can help.
