I have been lending cosmere novels to two friends of mine. Once one of them is reading the Way of Kings, I'll bring up the Shard.

Each time they're theorizing something completely wrong, I try to keep my face completely neutral. Like, one of them was reading Mistborn and was like 'Yeah, I knew it was the Lord Ruler's journal the whole time..." and I was like *thumbs up* "that makes sense..."

Hey, I also figured out a nigh perfect Cosmere reading order. It's similar to publication order, but with some variations for connections. I'm going to post a topic about it soon.
