On the discord, one of the employees dropped in to say that no one was hurt or sick, but at this was all they would say on the matter. Honestly my guess is that Brandon might have realized that his plans for the cosmere might be a bit too ambitious, so some of the things that have been in the backburner for a few years are either being cancelled or co-authored. Take it from someone who has spent periods of his own life working far too hard and long. When you are in the middle of it, you push through, feel invincible, and are proud of your own work ethic. However the exhaustion catches up to you, and not in a fun way. Honestly I don't know how the guy manages the things he already has on his plate. So if he needs to scale back or even take a break, id say he has more than earned it.

Easy one, Kaladin. I actually got into Sanderson after a girl I was dating at the time said I reminded her of the character and asked if I knew what she was talking about. Wax and Kelsier are close runners up though. How about yours.

Fully agreed. In fact back when the series started I thought his entire arc was going to be learning how to carve out a new identity as a "regular person" in a world in which superheroes now exist and are the ones responsible for a lot of the heavy lifting in battle. For him to go from charming Prince and skilled warrior to a normie in a war in which he suddenly finds himself useless. Instead he has kind of just become Shallan's husband; with any interesting moments of introspection or self-doubt quickly sweeped under the rug in order to get back to Shallan's problems.

Hi, brand new to the forums. Been a huge fan of Sanderson for a few years but brand new to the fandom. After Rhythm of War came out it made me realize how many little details I had missed or had fallen off the iceberg in the past few years, so been spending a lot of time re-reading/going down 17th Shard rabbit holes. Figured it was time I introduced myself to all of you fine people as well.
