So I have the Date along the x axis and overall word count as the y axis, set it to line graph in google sheets and I get a cool visual along with it.

That is probably general trend (line of best fit) R^2 can vary depending on day to day situation

Tough to narrow it down to just one lol. I'd have to say Warbreaker or Oathbringer. I love his characters, they're so fleshed out and feel realistic. How about you?

dude i love oathbringer too. Love the ending before epilogue its epic. FYI you can put all those details on your profile when you click to edit profile.

I'm wondering if the 5th oath has to do with forgiveness, or perhaps recognizing when someone is too far gone?

Protecting those you hate is not the same as forgiving them, and the main thread left for Kal's character arc is Moash.  We've pretty heavily plumbed the depths of Kal's revenge, so i'm hoping that's not the goal for yet another book, even though that's the clear setup with Moash.  Either way i suspect whatever the words are will relate to that.  Could somehow be "others can protect themselves" if moash starts going after bridge 4 instead of Kal, but he's almost certainly got to be pivotal to it.

I think you are right I think the 5th oath will have kaladin forgiving others who caused him harm. I think he will forgive moash.

  4. I was listening to the story about fleet in words of radiance and fleet dies after running past the shin mountains. Fleet then gets swept up into the storm. My theory is that kaladin dies and becomes something else like a cognitive shadow or something. Thies theory is also in the thread about kaladin taking up the shard honor. We know at the end of book 4 kaladin is being sent to shinovar to try to heal the heralds and restart the oathpact. He will die in shinovar.

I'm not a big fan of Kal becoming Honor. I get the thinking behind it, but he doesn't seem like the character to accept it. Maybe a temporary holder like Vin...but not end game.

Biggest reason is that long term I see the relationship between T and Dalinar evolving, even with the 2 of them being shards.  I don't see Kal being able to play the big games that Cultivation, Dalinar, and T are willing to play.

I always thought kaladin would take jezriens spot. if you look at death rattle bellow. the crown = king is jezrien is fallen title. spear is kaladin. Tower is unknown. tower is to watch over something?

Not gonna argue against that, I have no clue :)

What do you think about the theory, though?

I like the idea but i do not think nale went out to seek cultivation. Cultivation gave nale the blade because she was playing a game. I remember in the shardcast youtube episode someone said that there was an opinion that cultivation was playing a deeper game. Her actions were like roots under the surface. I do like your theory but i don't know why Nale would seek her out.

I take exception to the idea that Rabonial “murdered” her daughter. Rabonial was motivated by kindness and mercy in that moment. It was euthanasia. I couldn’t imagine a more painful thing than watching your own daughter suffer and deteriorate for 1000s of years.

to play devil advocate Rabonial was not kind she was selfish and she could not stand seeing her daughter so she gets rid of her. similar to how dalinar used to hate his sons.

  8. I think Venly and Eshonai are more important than any of us realize. The fact that leshwi turned after seeing that Venly had become a surgebinder was important. Also that taravangean wanted to eliminate them was something that was interesting. I do believe that the Diagram was ultimately served to ascend Taravangean. The diagram was always odiums pupets. if you look at the epigraph at the end of book 2 we see that line where Taravangean thinks it corresponds to Kaladin and bridge 4. But it is not about the bridgemen it is about the listeners. They will form an alliance with the Blackthorn to fight odium.

I believe that "we've seen how SA will end" on Scadrial, with an unlikely stepping up to pick up multiple Shards.

Posted this theory before, so I'll just spoiler it:

How does the archive end up on a different planet. It would be awesome but the war is in the rosharan system. It only will happen if others invade.

  10. I believe Honor will win. Quote bellow is from the epigraphs. The only one who is broken and splintered of the three (honor, odium, and cultivation) is Honor. High storms and everstorms may be dead but honor wins. It is possible that the tranquiline halls are fixed. Above is mentioned twice it is a direction. It means that maybe the reclaim halls like in vorin myth.
