QF60: The Parley for Elantris
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
QF60 Cycle One: Betrayal Reodar raised his hand in a fist, the sign for the rest of the party to stop. Just in range of the Elantrians on the wall's Aons. Hopefully he wouldn’t need them. He raised one finger and curled it, calling Tosheom. He then called Draofer, the other of the three leaders, forwards. "What are we to do?" Draofer asked. "I'm guessing he means to talk to them, rather than blast them to pieces." "Your guess is correct, if we must create an agreement, communication must happen. We do not want to destroy them. We wish to return our lands, not have dominion over theirs." The Dakhor approached, two of them in front with five behind. Tradition said three, why send five? Reodar thought. As they got closer, it became clear that the closest riders were no Monks. He shouted, "It is not the place for normal people here, Monks!" Tosheom's horse backed up a step at his command. Quieter, Reodar said, "Stand strong Tosheom, we must not appear weak." The moment after Reodar spoke, the Monk stepped forward and calmly killed both of the civilians. Tosheom, expecting an attack, raised his hand and drew the Aon Dio, creating a wall around him. Reodar and Draofer however, were caught off guard and were thrown off their horses by the fiery explosion the Monk sent forward. Tosheom fought as he retreated to the safety of his fellow Elantrians. With their help, he drove them back. In the aftermath of the fight, amongst burned corpses and charred remains, was a body that hadn't died from Dakhor fire. It -no, she- had a knife in her back. Tosheom looked up at the eight Elantrians before him. "One, perhaps more than one even, of you is a traitor. Whoever you are, understand that there will be vengeance." _____|_____ _______|_______ _____|_____ | Reodar and Draofer have died, they were Elantrians of no specific role and not player characters. Two civilians have died, they were innocent bystanders and not player characters. Things to Note: Group PMs are allowed. What Are You Reading, Part 2
The Unknown Medallion replied to Chaos's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Just finished Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. I read a compiled edition, which meant it had Restaurant at the End of the Universe, So Long and Thanks for the Fish, and a couple other short stories. I couldn't get through Mostly Harmless and skimmer Young Zaphod plays it safe, but I read everything else and enjoyed most of them. Going to start the Licanius Trilogy book One next. One chapter in and I'm already very interested. -
I give you a bond of the Unknown Order and the design of the Unknown Aon. Use them unwisely.

Short Story Cosmere Roleplay
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Roleplaying
"Funny joke, kid. It would have been more believable if you had said a couple days." Dallikar watched the cognitive realm, it was odd here, different from the spheres and fiery lights of his home. There were no spren here too. "Hardly no danger at all." He didn't realize he had spoken until Quartz responded. "I do not think the shades would take to it you if they saw you. The one that resides with these humans is... different. You saw how it manifested earlier." "He manifested. That shade was a person once. Do not dehumanize him for some likely small mistake."- 54 replies

@I think I am here. @Channelknight Fadran Quiet approached Jami. "Hey kid. You don't look like a Forester, how long have you been out here?" Dallikar jumped onto a slight out jutting on the carriage. He closed his eyes, definitely awake, but seemingly unaware of the world. Scarred concentrated on walking the ox forward, falling into an old habit.- 54 replies

QF60: The Parley for Elantris
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I had something come up over the weekend and I'd rather have more players, so the signups are extended until Monday, 25th of April. Kas has spoken and prefers I postpone until Wednesday, and I have no problems with that, so Wednesday, 27th of April is now the start time. -

Sound it out. It just rolls off the tongue with enough practice. I'm also in favor of Rick Rolling people in response to their questions. -

Just looked at my copy, language is limited to "God" and content is similar to Warbreaker but in different ways. -

Might be too late, but Powder Mage has slight language and decent amount of correlation with drugs in the magic system. Otherwise it's a great book. -

"I suppose. Guess we're the only ones they figured wouldn't steal it. How would you steal this much silver anyways?" Scarred nodded. "Yes." He walked forward and jostled the ox to get it moving at a fairly slow pace.- 54 replies

Short Story Cosmere Roleplay
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Roleplaying
Dallikar tilted his head slightly, like an Axehound would. He had said hello on a guess, it obviously had more intelligence then a normal Shade. "Yes. Is this everyone? Seems like a pretty small group to be transporting something this valuable." He hadn't been here long, but it was clear silver was very valuable. Made sense, considering Shades were hurt by it. @Tani @I think I am here. @Channelknight Fadran- 54 replies

Short Story Cosmere Roleplay
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Roleplaying
Dallikar walked through the forest, mentally reminding himself to slow down. Well, he would have reminded himself if Quartz wasn't telling him every time his pace quickened the slightest bit. "I'm aware of the need to walk slower. I'm aware the Shades will attack if I run. I'm not stupid, Quartz." "That is true. You are not stupid, nor are you Quartz. I am Quartz, and you are Dallikar." The conversation was interrupted when Dallikar realized he was almost to the designated clearing. He stopped, and peeked into the Cognitive Realm briefly to check for Shades. There was... something. Whatever it was, it was no normal shade. When he walked into the clearing he looked at the Shade, and said, "Hello." He looked around, "And hello to all of you as well. Scarred stepped forward. Another young man. "Are you Dallikar?" He proffered his hand.- 54 replies

Short Story Cosmere Roleplay
The Unknown Medallion replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Roleplaying
"Scarred is a nickname, actually, but I've been called by it for more of my life than I have my given name." "Actually we've got one more kid coming. Goes by Dallikar. Weird name if you ask me." "Shades," he muttered. No wonder Adonalsiumwillrememberourplighteventually didn't want him talking about the last trip. Couldn't get anyone useful as it was. He put on a false smile, even though it was distorted more to a grimace by his scar. "Great place for experience, right?"- 54 replies

QF60 - The Parley for Elantris Reodar sighed. Far in the distance, so far Reodar could only see it with the help of Nae's zoom, there was an army. It was an army of Dakhor, so large it should have been impossible. He dismissed the Aon and walked down to Commander Teneler. "Too far to get a good count on their numbers. Any information from the scouts?" "One has come back. The rest are… gone." "Dead?" "Yes. They caught everyone, the one who came back was allowed to. They gave him a message." "What did they say?" "They wish to parley." "Are you sending Tosheom?" "I have to. He is our best fighter if it comes to blows, and he has a vested interest in seeing the Dakhor fall. But he must be balanced. That's why I'm sending you." "Me, what? Why?" "You are half Fjorden, and, do not take this the wrong way, you aren't very aggressive. I think you will be the last to decide to fight." "Who else?" "Just an assortment of people. You two will be the leaders though." Reodar nodded. "When are we leaving?" "Now. Head down to the gate, everyone else is already ready to leave." "Yes, sir," he said before leaving. | _____|_____ _______|_______ _____|_____ | Welcome to Quick-Fix 60, The Parley for Elantris. This is a rerun of QF57 with more roles.
