  1. Iad. Trust. Reliability. The most steadfast of aons, the thought of them being a traitor was horrible, yet it haunted the backs of minds. All it took to turn the crowd was two line voices. Two voices to stir the whispers. Aons flew as Iad ran from the mob. It was lead by Body and one he claimed was his enemy. Body took the forefront, debating Iad, testing his foundation, but nobody whispered in his. He sewed distrust and awakened the fear in the backs of minds. The history books would attribute Iad's banishment to Body and his arguments, but those who were there knew without a doubt that the final blow had truly been struck by... nobody. _____________ Kene was just a salesman. No more crooked than most, if he wasn't less so. So when he walked home that night, he wasn't expecting an attack. He hadn't been vocal about his opinions. He hadn't argued to the point of vengeance being necessary. He hadn't even cast a vote against anybody. Perhaps his silence earned his fate. Perhaps an old grudge or an older feud. It was impossible to know. Kene grunted when his door was locked, unusual, but not uncommon. Perhaps paranoia earlier that day had made his hand twist to lock the door before walking away. He grabbed his keys and looked through them to find the correct one for his door. It absorbed his attention to look for such small detail in the dark, so he never saw the axe swing to cut off his head. _________ ________________ ________ Ookla the Pianist has died. This cycle will end on the 11th of December at 2 PM. @MintSilverTea I don't have an official inactivity filter but make sure to post as soon as you can. I'm giving this and the next cycle. 2. I'm really that that goes for all Dakhor. The elims can take an ability, then they kill the next night, then they can use the ability the next, then they can take another and so on. They cannot hoard abilities. Yes, roles are revealed as well as alignment. No, no role can use its power twice in the same round. Yes, you would be. Yes.
  3. The Monks had reached the city after traveling for a time. During that time they had lost more of their numbers, but they were still strong. After just a few swings of their axes, the gatekeepers were mere corpses. The Dakhor Monks left the severed flesh and bloodied room behind. It would be many hours before the bodies were found. It would be even more before it was realized what had killed those bodies, but when it was, drastic measures would have to be taken. ________________ The leaders of Elantris, the first elantrians, had come to a decision. A team would be made to hunt down the Dakhor before they were given time to assimilate themselves into the ranks of the elantrians. Unfortunately for the elantrians, the Monks had already made their way into those ranks. The hunting squad itself was compromised. Investigations were led, and the eight most likely Monks were placed under lockdown, where they were left to decide amongst themselves who were the Monks… and who would become corpses in their wake. _________ _______________ _________ Welcome to Cycle One: A Solitary Beginning. A few things to note: This cycle will end at 2 PM on Friday, the Tenth of December whether I close it or not. PMs are closed. Ties will result in no-one dying. Have Fun! Player List: Link to Rules:
  4. Eight was my expected/hoped for amount, but I have distros for nine, so it's up to you. I'm going to leave you as a pinch-hitter unless you say otherwise.
  5. I might need an extension on this one, I'll know by Thursday.
  6. Tip ran forward and picked the simple push lock shoved the window open. Before he jumped out, he glanced behind him to check that Velen was following.
  7. It had not been luck that stopped Espora from hearing Velen. Tip had silenced them, allowing them to run unheard. "Velen, I'm so sorry, I was late, I thought I could do it myself--"
  8. "Aspora, I presume?" "Who else?" "The king of Valor?" He chuckled. "Fortunately, I am not. Why are you here, little assassin?"
  9. Go ahead and Pinch-hit, there's a while left for signups and we almost have my hoped for player count.
  10. Meanwhile, Tip flew over the tops of buildings. I can't be late. Velen'll kill me if I'm late. Or as good as. So he jumped from roof to roof without making a sound. When he got close to where Velen was, he paused. We agreed to meet up in the alley, but I'm late. Only one option. Tip changed direction slightly and went past Velen completely silent and harder to see than a shadow. If there was one thing Tip was good at, it was moving unnoticeably. He slipped past the guards, following the bare bones of the plan, without having to spill a drop of blood. Guards in the manor itself were easy. Then came the inner manor. Aspora and his family lived there. If Tip had been on time, he would have arrived precisely three minutes earlier, which was when the guard changed. Now, he was left with a conundrum. He couldn't slip through as he had planned to. That meant Tip would have to enter the loud way. He grabbed one of his eight knives and threw it at the nearest guard. It hit a weak point in the badly forged helmet, knocking the guard out. Fortunately, Tip had silenced the knife and helm so that no sound was made. Unfortunately, Tip hadn't silenced the rest of the guards armor. Scourmonger! He dashed forward soundlessly, though that mattered little now. He released the silence on himself to do the second of his abilities. Tip condensed the sound still vibrating through the air and pushed it towards the guards eyes. Then he released it, stunning the guard. He darted past the third guard and went one, two, three, and four steps before turning and throwing the knife hilt first at the guard. The knives were specifically designed to create as much sound as possible on impact with the hilt. In order to slow pursuit as much as possible, Tip took the sound and once again threw it at the already stunned guard. Two unconscious and one stunned by sound. Tip turned back towards Arke's rooms and ran as fast as he could. Flying silently through the halls, Tip reached the door in less than a minute. After reaching the room that he knew contained Arke Aspora and his wife, Tip picked the lock. That was sloppy, he thought as he opened the door, making sure to change his silence to it for a moment, then walked in his silence once again surrounding him. Tip grabbed for his knife so he could throw it at the man shaped lump in the bed, but the knife wasn't there. Before he could turn, Tip felt cold steel on his neck. Lifetaker, Stealer of Dreams, please help me survive this day. "Look what we have here, a little assassin, and one who doesn't make a sound either."
  11. Hello Mint! I agree with everything Araris (Ookla the Porched) said. I'd also recommend reading the general rules and etiquette thread, as well as this games rules if you haven't already.
