    "Why not?" She asked, legitimately confused.

    She brightened. "Yeah! The police were chasing me a few days ago, but it was night, so they couldn't find me." She looked proud of her hiding skills.

    She shrugged. "I like night cuz it's peaceful, but I like day because that's when people are out."

    "It actually sucks a bit sometimes. I often have to wear sunglasses and headphones to not get overstimulated."

    "Oh. Well, people and things don't act weird around me. My senses in the dark are really good though."

    "No, not really, why?"

    "Hm? Oh, no. I'm just getting my nervous energy out."

    Elsie was oblivious to the suspicion, and just kept pacing.

    Elsie kinda flickered out of sight for a second as she passed through a particularly dark shadow.

    She sat quietly for a minute, before standing up, and starting to pace around.

    "Thanks for explaining. I really appreciate it." She said.

    "Huh. I guess that kinda makes sense."

    "Oh. That makes more sense. But shouldn't it be in Greece?"

    "Wait, the underworld is in LA?" Elsie was baffled.

    "So there is one!" Elsie said, enthusiasm evident. "Nice!" She looked at him again. "Hey, do you know where we are going?"

    "So, maybe I'm just really lucky... Ooooh! Is there a goddess of luck? Maybe she's my mom!"

    "Why? Should I have learned earlier?"

    "Yep. And my dad died a few years ago, so if he knew, he didn't get the chance to explain."

    "Um. I have no idea." She said, sheepishly. "I learned about all of this less than an hour ago."

    Elsie glanced at him, seeming a bit uncomfortable. She was at a loss of what to do.

    "Oh. Still cool though."

    She gasped. "Can you become really scary? Like, on command? Do you not get scared?" She paused again. "I'm... Probably annoying you, huh? Sorry. I'll shut up."

    "Ooooh!" She said, before pausing. After a moment, she started talking again. "Who's that?"
