Random Bystander

"I developed it myself, and I have never been to school. I wish I could." She said wistfully.

"Yeah. I still need to grab my stuff. Where should we meet up tomorrow?"

"Uh..." She moved the books around awkwardly, but was finally able to grab on to her arm. Barely. "Okay. Ready."

"Although, I do have a photographic memory. And this weird thing called perfect pitch." She shrugged. "Not that perfect pitch is very useful to me, but I'll take what I can get."

"Magic? I don't have magic."

"Wait, really?" She was shocked. Wait. People actually want me around?! Wow. Just, wow.

"Thanks!" She said cheerfully. "I'll probably be gone in about 15 minutes anyway. I like to stay on the move."

She looked at them like they were insane. "But I need food to live." She said slowly.

"Ooh! Have you gone on many adventures?" "... I am?"

"Well, after getting run out of the last town I was in, I've been traveling. When I saw this awesome tower, I decided that I really wanted to explore it!" Her eyes sparkled. "I love traveling and exploring. I only actually go into towns when I'm close to starvation or something. They always try to hurt me for some reason." She shrugged. "I have no clue why."

"Why would... I am so confused right now." "I'm Velia!"

"Why?" She said, completely confused.

"There are places people aren't allowed to be?" "Hi!"

"What are you talking about?" This guy is really confusing me.

She just stared at him. "What?"

She blinked, confused. "Why did you yell the name?" She sounded baffled. "And why would I leave the awesome tower?"

"Because it's fun." She said with a grin. "And life gets boring if you don't have fun."

"Oh. Uh... You shouldn't tell people that. It defeats the purpose of the knife." She then started whistling and hopping with one of her legs out in front of her again.

She was still backing away, and her hands were waving quickly through the air. "Please don't stab me! I just recovered from the last time I was stabbed." She was obviously panicking.

"Let's just say Eona knows how storming dangerous the Dakhor monks are." She grinned. "We can go now."

"I can't explain stuff without Eona's books and maps, and..." Camelia cut her off. "You can borrow a couple." Said Eona. "Wait, really? Thanks!" Said Camelia. "What do they know?" Said Eona. "Basically nothing." Eona nodded, and drew an extremely complex Aon Tia, and a stack of books appeared in her arms. "I've been practicing." "Wow." Eona handed Camelia the books. "Don't lose or ruin them please." Said Eona. "Thanks. I won't ruin or lose them." Camelia said. Eona hugged her, and then jogged back to her home. "That worked out well." She said to the others.

She raised her eyebrow and folded her arms. "Oh? And how well did you do against the Dakhor monks when you knew nothing about them?" "WHAT?!" Said Eona. "Idos Domi! You're kidding!" She looked horrified. "Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you that, didn't I." Said Camelia. "Yes. You did. What... How..." Eona took a deep breath. "No wonder you were all injured." "Yeah. My point exactly." Said Camelia.

She smiled. "First, I need to know what the heck is going on."

"Wait. I thought you guys wanted to learn about Realmatics. And the Dor. And a whole bunch of other stuff."

"Sure."
