Pattern, love how he and Shallan seem like partners in crime (literally a lot of the time). They are so fun together which makes the moments where they get serious hit so hard for me.

Random tangent but I was a huge fan of Zu and Ua'pam in ROW and was hoping she would get a bigger role in future books. So is there a chance she stays or is the journey mandatory even for those bonded to a spren(as seen with the mother) ?

Always interpreted it to be the equivalent of atium burning Mistborns (or Seers) cancelling each other out.

Loved her role in this book but she's my favorite character so I'm a bit biased I don't really like the way people are making light of her mental illness but on a more light-hearted note her potential war with the "Lord of Scars" is very exciting.
