  1. “I’m not,” she argued. The knife in her other hand shook, but after tightening her grip, it stopped. “I’m not,” Q repeated.
  2. “No. No no,” she said, grabbing her head with one hand. “I don’t, no.” But her memories said otherwise. It was satisfaction that coursed through her when she cut down not just her enemies, but her victims… and loved ones. That satisfaction tainted the memory, a headache following not long after. Would she feel that same satisfaction when she–– “No,” Q said aloud through gritted teeth. The headache grew worse, memories of her recent conversation with Highness coming to light. “Nonono.”
  3. “Doesn’t mean that I enjoy doing it.”
  4. Her lips drew in a line. Q continued to glare at him. “Why me?” she asked. “I seem to catch the attention of the weird ones.”
  5. "It's not them I'm worried about," Q replied softly.
  6. "Because no one else will," she put simply. "It'll be different than times in the past; this time, I can do something."
  7. "Because I don't want them to be hurt by him," she said, but instead of gesturing in a random direction, she pointed at herself.
  8. "If you've done any studying on me," she said, giving him a glare, "then you would know that I'm done serving people."
  9. "Humor me for a second–" She pointed her obsidian knife at him "–who is 'us'?"
  10. She didn't let her expression to reveal anything. If it's too good to be true, Krow said, then it definitely is too good to be true. "The catch?"
  11. They growled again, but the black receded in place of sapphire. "What?" Q said, continuing to stare them down.
  12. Their stance didn't lower. They looked at Corundum straight in the eye, scowling a bit. "Krow," they said carefully.
  13. "I'll ask the same question," they growled.
  14. Uhhh, "her" is referencing Yulong; this Mors/Krow talking through her. Sorry, I wasn't clear.
  15. Q growled deeply, her eyes mixing in pitch black. "Don't touch her," the distorted voice snarled.
  16. "What power? More importantly: Why?"
  17. I gotchu, fam. I have no clue when Connie's gonna get back on, so... Oh and btw, if you ever want to take a break from all this plot stuff, I'm always here with some random crap ideas that I dunno what to do with. One sec, I gotta put in a piece of my own plot that really doesn't matter~ The hallways stretched on forever. No matter how fast or long she ran, they never had an end. There were offshoots, of course, but they led to places she never liked going to. She sprinted, till she came to the door. Her footsteps slowed to a stop as she looked on the door. Behind it was memories that were best left forgotten, though she always remembered them; no amount of running could let her escape from them. Without her consent, Q reached up and opened the imposing metal door, walking in. The bunker of a torture room was always the same: Manacles on the wall in front of her with blood spatters that looked fresh, as if she was just in here for a session not a few minutes ago; a table sat off to the side with all sorts of fun equipment, each of them varying in size and shape; and bodies... so many bodies. All of them were people she knew, or had some recollection of before they met their demise. Their blood seeped through the cracks, dripping down the walls and flooding the floor. It touched her ankles, warm as ever, staining anything it came in contact with. Her heart pounded in her ears, blood roaring louder than her own heartbeat. Q immediately turned back, but the door was gone. "Nononononono," she whispered, both in the dream and in reality. "This isn't real. Nonono. Just figments of my imagination. Everything's fine. Everyone's fine." SNAP Q stilled, slowly looking behind her. He stood there, that Lightn' whip in hand, but right at his knees were... "No," she denied softly, seeing Ellis and Melody, looking as bruised and broken as Huoyan had been. "Not real. Not. Real." "This can and will be real," Highness purred. "You've always been the danger." "No!" Q repeated, her voice rising. "I'll protect them! I won't be the danger. I'm not the danger." "Is that so?" Q's hands flicked, her knives falling into her palms. She fought hard, but in the quick blink of an eye, Q cleanly sliced Melody and Ellis' throats with only one swipe from each blade. Their bodies collapsed with sickening thumps, their blood joining the rest. They stared ahead, looking into the eternities. They may have joined the rest of the bodies, but they were among the few that stood out amongst the many, many bodies. The knives fell from her grasp. Yulong looked down, her hands drenched with blood. She panicked, trying to wipe away the blood, but more always came. There was always more where the little she rubbed off came from. It never came back little bit by little bit, but always waves. Always running, always finding, always remembering, always drowning, always fighting, always losing, always, always, always... . . . Q jolted awake, a scream managing to escape her lips. The scars flared painfully, making the dream seem more real. She breathed heavily, feeling only a few beads of sweat roll down the back of her neck. She reached up, clutching her head as she tried to regain her bearings. Ellis and Melody were alright. There was no blood. Cupra seemed to be resting now. Must be her turn for watch. She got up and stretched, then peered into the darkness. Something was there; that much she was sure of. It wasn't until it showed its face was when she pulled out her knives, immediately falling into a fighting stance. She narrowed her eyes at the speaker, still holding the stance. "Well?" Q asked. "What do you want to bargain?"
  18. Q's dozing off, but not quite asleep yet, so feel free.
  19. Currently trying to force myself to do schoolwork; not going well.
  20. She opened her mouth to protest that she wasn't tired, but Q's eyes were already flitting close despite her struggles.
  21. "Mmm," Q mumbled as she laid down a little bit away from Ellis. "Probably will be okay, then."
  22. I was legit about to say something like this >.> "A fire in a cave is not a good idea," Q said, her eyes lingering on the bundle of wood. "Might cause a cave-in."
  23. “He’ll be fine, right?” she asked, regarding Gerald.
