The King's Folly (prime): Chapter 11 Removed scene

A streak of light severs the sky into two before landing in front of me. A white slash, a sear of the stars, splits the peaceful scenery of the western empire, and lands somewhere nearby. What was it? I walked to it, ignoring the mystic catastrophe of the village in front of me. The light does not dim nor does it move. 

The light singlehandedly illuminates the landscape. Long shadows that dance with the wind all point away from this fallen light. Although it shines bright enough to show everything nearby, it doesn't provide any remedy to the cold night. The wind blows gently, as if the weather himself is intrested as well.

As I get closer, a form within the blinding white is present. It is the size of a person, but has wings of a dragon and the claws of a beast. It is still in a ball, and opens its etherial eyes to look at me.

You could see in its eyes, the lightning and fury of the impact. I almost was taken aback by its hurtful stare, the marker that labels it for who, no what it is.
