Vespyr returned a general feeling of agreement. The winds shot them forward, propelling them at a great speed. The stockpile of nectar would last them at least until Vespyr's Spire, and there was more nectar there to be consumed in this shooting flight back to the homeland. Vespyr did not at all seem to mind being called a pawn. In its experience, pawns could often be ignored by the greater enemy, underestimated.

Vespyr was supposed to stay quiet. The task was finished. It... it didn't matter. "Who are you to the Queen?" Vespyr asked, slowly, as if... as if not just speaking as a tool, like every time before, "Why... Why are you important?"

"I am a tool," Vespyr said, "Not a voice."

"It is a journey," Vespyr explained, "We will make it to my spire before nightfall." Good thing they'd stopped at the cave before really getting going; it would have been embarrassing to have forgotten their supplies. "From my spire, we will fly into her waters and I will surrender you into her care."

Vespyr reached out and took Janice’s hand. The wind gushed around them, and they lifted to the sky. Once they were dots in the sky, their shadow shot across the sun. in an eyeblink, Janice was gone. And there was no knowing if any of them would see her again.

Vespyr nodded at Shidalla, then touched two fingers to its lips, forehead, then lips again. It was an odd salute. Vespyr stepped away, then strode up to Janice @Channelknight Fadran. Lloyd, at a full 900 feet away, was still a good distance away. "If we leave now, I will not need to kill your friend."

Vespyr took a deep breath, then placed a hand on Shidala's shoulder. It was the most comforting, most human action the creature had ever taken. It was a monster. Grotesque. Disgusting. "Miss yourself," it ordered firmly. "Alone is not the end. You can be strong. You can be better than the friends that betray you. Be there. For yourself."

Vespyr looked to Shidala. "If you wish his head to remain atop his shoulders, you will find him, and you will keep him from returning here."

Vespyr punched *around* Shidala. Vespyr didn't really care about the power of friendship, having never really experienced its magic.

Vespyr, who had not been walking, looked at Lloyd's leg. Then, with a punch fuelled by the an insane blast, like a steam-engine train at full force, Vespyr struck Lloyd full-force (and then some) into his jaw. The wind curved in an arc behind Vespyr, along Vespyr's arm, and then into Lloyd, the force of the blow sending him careening backward, crashing through the forest, at LEAST a good 300 yards. Vespyr had unleashed the super bonk.

Vespyr landed and plucked up the lead ball from where it was in the silt. Vespyr's eyeless, scarred face stared impassively at Lloyd. "You are a fool. Do not make me kill you. I do not wish to kill anyone else this day. Do not put yourself in my path."

Vespyr absorbed the vibration of the bullets, stopping them before they even struck it. It tilted its head down at the conversation happening below. It caught the bullets from the air, then held them tightly in both hands. The hands began to vibrate, and molten lead dripped from between the fingers. "I apologize for the inconvenience," it said, as the lead cooled in its hands. A large lead ball shot into Lloyd's head, effectively bonking him (hopefully unconscious.)

Vespyr was visibly SMOKING from all the excess power it had absorbed from Janice. On top of that, Vespyr had just topped off on Nectar. If Lloyd attacked this creature that routinely destroyed military vessels, slaughtered crews, and took on multiple other aspect-users without breaking a sweat... Lloyd was going to have a bad time. Vespyr did not move to acknowledge his attack, but it did not turn away from him, either.
