  1. Ros nodded. "Mixed feelings, I wonder if that's better. Crescendo, if you don't mind me asking, did you have someone back home, one who knew you and connected with you like no other. Not exactly a significant other, but more than a friend?"
  2. Ros considered the question. "Yes? Those that were left behind I guess."
  3. Ros looked slightly eased at the answer. "It's just . . . do you miss them?"
  4. Ros began to look slightly ill again. "It's just that . . . may I ask you a question? Just between you and me."
  5. After Ros sat down, he looked as if he was about to speak, but stopped himself. He sits in silence, his face saying that he wants to speak, but unable to bring up the nerve to say a word.
  6. The Komodo starts bellowing again to sound the alarm. He attempts to chase at first with an impressive initial sprint to catch up with Chorale, but he's winded quickly.
  7. The Komodo's bellow stopped as the wind was knocked out of him despite his scales. He stumbled back a few steps before giving Chorale another glare. He then crouches down again, adopting another defensive pose, determined to drag this fight out as much as possible.
  8. Ros grimaces before sitting down. "I apologize la-, Crescendo. I won't make that mistake again."
  9. The Komodo darted back with what would past as a reptilian grin. He started bellowing an alarm.
  10. Ros looked down. "Please don't call me Brightlord lady Crescendo, I'm definitely no Brightlord, I don't have the eyes or anything for it. Do you mind if I take a seat my lady?"
  11. The Komodo went low and dodged to the side, wary of Chorale's legs, before striking to snatch her arm in his jaws.
  12. The Komodo was nocked back and then he snarled. He glared at Chorale, and then went into a combat crouch, looking for an opening.
  13. The Komodo amal chuckled, then lunged towards Chorale trying to snatch her in his jaws.
  14. Ros walked around before he came across Crescendo. He paused before approaching her, trying to gather himself. "Good morning Brightness Crescendo, I thoroughly apologize for the way I treated you this morning, there can be no excuse for it."
  15. Ros made his way to his room, he had the appearance of being slightly ill as he made his way there. When he got into his room, he sat down silently onto his bed and stared at the wall. He definitely didn't feel well, but it wasn't some sort of disease, or at least not one that he knew. His thoughts turned to words in his seemingly empty room. "Why, why any of this?" "I'm not sure." Ros jumped at the response, she hadn't done so in a long time. The voice continued. "I'm not sure of much anymore, it just seemed right. Maybe you need to find another, that spanreed just doesn't seem like it's enough, and I don't think that I can." Ros looked towards the floor and put his head in his hands before he spoke. "I don't know if I can, I knew I shouldn't have left in the first place." The voice took on a concerned tone. "I know this is it, this place feels right. I just need time. Please, just look up and push on a little bit longer." Ros looked up. "I believe that's my line." "The maybe you should listen to yourself, you are wiser than you give yourself credit for." Ros shook his head with a little smile. "Alright then, just a little more." With this comment, Ros stood up from his bed, feeling stronger, but still rather uneasy. He made his way out the door, and started walking around the building.
  16. Kuno pondered on the answer before he shared his thoughts. "I'm not sure that direct action is the best answer right now my good friend, that is if I'm reading this town correctly."
  17. Kuno pauses and takes a second to think. "What exactly will that do for you?"
  18. The man smiles when Krait approaches with Catorphia standing at his side. "It's quite alright my friend, you may call me Kuno if you wish, although I suppose that there is nothing stopping you from calling me anything else that you want."
  19. The man looked towards Catorphia, who only watched Krait suspiciously, and he shrugged. "Very well, I'll try my best to not get lost." The man finished speaking with a wink, and then walked off. He walked around the settlement with Catorphia in tow, seemingly aimless. He eventually stopped near the back door of an Eating House, and waited.
  20. The man nodded to himself. "If you say so my friend. I am interested in talking with you in more selective company. I believe that we can be useful to each other. I can think of a place that we can meet in private if you want, or we can go separate ways. I am open to talking more with you, but the choice is ultimately yours."
  21. The man adopted a smirk. "You're quite observant. What do you say Catorphia?" Catorphia stands there, watching seemingly everything at once, and not responding to the question. The man addresses Krait again. "She doesn't like to talk as much in public, let me tell you though, she's quite hard to shut up when we're in a more selective company. Did you have a place in mind my new friend?"
  22. The man redirects his attention to the speaker and the crowd. "Enough. He's ambitious and holds a strength over crowds. He has some skill for persuasion, but his power comes from his passion, and his ability to share it. I appreciate your respect towards the past, it's quite a dangerous thing, although it is what drives us. I believe I have one last question for you my new friend." The man turns to look Krait in the eyes once more, his own grey eyes looking quite intensely at Krait. For s brief moment it seemed as if his common traveller's clothes didn't quite suit him, but just as quickly as it comes, the moment passes. "What's next?"
  23. The man shook his head, then he turned to look at Krait, making eye contact as he did so. "To answer the first question, I'm here to achieve my goals, much like you. Although our goals might be different, I don't believe we have conflicting interests. My eyes are quite a full shade of grey, in fact, I've been told many times that there's no fuller shade than the one I have. Although since it's been with me since birth, I've gotten used to it. Now, my friend Krait, I believe that I have another question for you. Where do you come from?"
  24. The man nodded once more. "Bold words my friend, although I do advise that you be careful of the unexpected, as it can ruin everything." The man pauses. Then shakes his head. "Where are my manners? It should have been your turn for a question ages ago. Well, I'll let you have the next three, that ought to catch you up to speed."
