    Taln grabbed Ash. Ash looked at his big fingers. A thousand years can come and go, you can lose your life in a dream, but these hands ... you haven't forgotten those hands. He said: Ash. She looked at him, took a breath and put her fingers to her lips. "How long?" He asked. - Taln. He took both hands. - Excuse me. I'm so sorry.

    Those hands...

    Just couldn't take her eyes off them, so big...

    On the inside, Queen started freaking out. He's going to try to get into my mind? He can't see my thoughts, those are mine! She threw a mental wall around all of her thoughts, strongest around the ones she wanted to hide the most. She managed to stop her frantic mind from skittering around, then did her best to think of nothing but pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows. She couldn't completely clear her mind, but she could just think of something completely useless, which she figured would accomplish the same purpose. Mind prepared, she nodded.

    Ok I just had the weirdest conversation with my dad. I was venting about how I ran out of my yogurt too fast (little yoplait yogurt cup, blueberry flavor) and I was like 'I need like a big half-gallon tub of this. That's what I'd eat. A big tub of bacteria; flavored bacteria.'

    (I love yogurt despite what it is)

    Circestran raises an eyebrow. "Demon, you ask why I have a quarrel with you?" Armor of golden light forms around her replacing the shattered bones that she had been wearing. She grins. "Simple you hurt the one who means everything to me." With a thought she transforms his arms to stone. The sky burns and shatters as massive bolts pour from the heavens. Inhumanly fast she races forward and plants both the axe of her polearm and lance in his chest. She fills the wounds with a spreading frost which expands rapidly. She releases the weapons and vanishes. The next moment she far beyond his reach with two gleaming long swords in hand.

    Below the gates shudder once, twice, and then a third time before flying open. An army beyond count begins to flee through the carnage. Some are burned instantly by the lightning and heat. Some freeze to death in moments. Others are swept away by the winds. A song of chaos shatters the air.

    Winter curses, resetting his body again. (Moving only his body, everything unbelonging to it disappears: then the body  can change and reset)

    "How dare you damage what Yami created. I have no time for a fool like you."

    He disappears, unknowingly escaping from an un-escapable (mind)scape. That's what he remembered: ignorance is bliss. Truth vs Honest Belief vs Faith vs Reality

    Winter stepped onto the flat, stone castle roof of Yami's home, gazing at the woods to the left and the sea to the right.

    "It's beautiful, isn't it, Winter?"

    "Yes. It is, Yami."

    I hear a vague voice above me, but it means nothing. I'm empty. Shock and pain float around me meaninglessly. My eyes see nothing.

    Circestran turns with supernatural speed and grace. A  piece of her armor falls away. She swings her axe with all of her strength. She grins as it bites deep into Winter. With a thought she fills the wound with pestilence and fire. She calls a massive bolt of lightning and it strikes Winter head on. Not letting up she summons a wicked lance which she stabs toward Winter's throat.

    Quote

    changing writing perspective, I dont' like writing in the now when I'm telling a story, and I think this is an epic live action story so

    Winter halted for one fatal moment as his last emotion screamed in pain, then fell silent.

    Pestilence? Fire? Those mean nothing to a dark creation such as him. His body was simply a tool, his life was but a concept. Nobody understood that. Not even Yami.

    Something snapped inside of Winter, and it wasn't his collar bone.

    He looked down at his hands, deflecting the spear thrust with his wings, spinning in the air: Metal hands? No, not metal. Matter. Metal wings? No. What's anything but everything? Self thought was in his creation, but unlike all things, it had no limit. Was his mind retrieved from his previous body? No. It was created, one with the universe.

    So what was his body? (he deflected another strike) Pointless? No, Yami had given it to him, he couldn't let it be damaged.

    How dare I realize things. Why do I still seek emotion? I am like a child.

    Winter paused in the air, is wings of matter beating.

    Kill my mind.

    His past was erased. His body reset. He only knew two things: himself and Yami.

    There appeared to be someone attacking him. That was strange.

    He deflected her attacks with his hands and wings, ducking and weaving between the ones he couldn't block.

    "May I ask why you assault me? I do not wish to fight you." He said, hovering a safe distance away.

    I release Fox from my embrace as I feel her pull away. I can sense the emotions rushing even as I struggle with my pain. There is little strength remaining in my body as I allow Fox to lie me down. I grimace. All pretense of hiding my agony is gone. It is though a raging storm of raw burning flesh has washed away my strength. I have just enough to speak. When my voice comes out it is tinged with fatigue. "I can die now Fox. I have angered a dangerous being and she seems to have cursed me. She and her children likely combined their powers to strip me of immortality. I bleed as any mortal and I can be killed as any other being." It is impossible to keep the fear from my eyes. "It is not dying which I fear you know. I had long resigned myself to the possibility that a weapon that could kill me would be used against me. What I fear is failing you and the others." I cough my body writhing in indescribable torture. Everybreath makes me long to be taken into blissful sleep.

    Circestran tenses. All of the agony that Nathrangking is feeling strikes all at once. She can feel his very being wither beneath a curse. She gasps as his soul begins to fray. His mortality begins to infect her being. Her strength begins to wane. Panic and rage combine within her. Chaos breaks loose. Vengeance grabs her heart and infects it with a poison which blinds her.  She will die, but first... All of her caution burns away. She makes a slapping motion with her hands. A wall of force smashes into Winter. She flies at him polearm raised. Wall after wall buffets Winter. A bolt of lightning strikes Circestran, but she ignores it. Wind stings her. She bellows a terrible cry which is lost in the storm and calls horrific beasts of shadow from the ground. They tear themselves from the fabric of the realm. As one they attack winter. Out the corner of her eye she sees the spells on the gate begin to fade. The moment that she sees it it is forgotten.

    @KyL

    Winter appears behind Cir, his hands covered in blood.

    "I apologize for ruining your armour."

    A talker who is trying to goad me into making an error. They never learn. "Impressive, I'll admit. Knowing a secret such as this is no small feat. You are correct that my spells are useless in this place. However, to battle using such weak things as spells have always been beneath me. Let me tell you a secret, little metal angel. I call myself this day the name with which I was born. Then I was not Circestran, nor was I  the huntress of the damned, the slayer of infernal deities, the sorceress queen, empress of mindscapes, and the conqueror of death's own realm. No, then I was Kishuphra firstborn of sorcery and magics. The power which birthed the ancient gods and the cosmos are my younger siblings. My turn." The darkness fractures and with a heave explodes in a wave of scarlet light. The realm vanishes and the storm defended doorway appears. "You have nowhere to run this is the mindscape at the soul of mindscapes. It cannot be broken for the will of the ancient ones are it's fabric. You cannot escape, for only those who know it well can leave. Welcome to my former prison and your grave." Massive bolts of lightning strike the ground. Hurricane like winds gust and scream. Massive hailstones rain down.

    I love your flashiness, witch, but let's get the fun going. You may go first.

  10. 1 minute ago, Nathrangking said:

    Great. He is a big talker. As though I have never slain one of those. "This mindscape is a rudimentary thing. Let me show you. Eshaor." The ground begins to burn. Thick billowing smoke fills the sky. The earth begins to come apart as molten fire erupts from the ground. Stone begins to melt. Circestran unfolds her wings and rises off of the ground.

    "Your concept of mindscapes may be rudimentary." Winter replies, his wings reflecting the fire. "You may have mastered mindscapes, but I was created with the perfect knowledge of that concept's mother. R."

    Everything becomes nothing.

    So, witch, how do you like this? The greater concept behind it all, rediscovered by the queen of darkness over millennia of being encased in ice.

    The nothingness turns into pitch-black darkness.

    This is past your grasp. You have no power here.

  11. Just now, Nathrangking said:

    Circestran stands unimpressed. "Do you think that I'm impressed? When Mindscapes were young I had mastered them." She dismisses her shield and blade. A blinding wall of scarlet energy surrounds her as she starts to chant. Armor of thick plates of demon carapace appear over her body. A helm that radiates an aura of death rests upon her head. Empty eyes stare vacantly from atop her brow. An intricate metal poled polearm with axes and a spike on either side appears in her hands. Spells are inscribed on every surface. The axes gleam like a predators eyes. With a though Circestran dismisses the light. "I am known as the huntress of the damned, the slayer of infernal deities, the sorceress queen, empress of mindscapes and the conqueror of death's own realm." She bows slightly then straightens. Circestran raises the polearm "Today you die."

    Winter laughs his favorite cold, emotionless laugh.

    "You are nothing but dirt, and that is what you will become."

  12. 8 minutes ago, Nathrangking said:

    Circestran sighs. She races forward. Draws back her blade and strikes him hard with the pommel on side of the head.

    Checkmate. Someone whispers in Cir's ear.

    Then she's ripped into a mindscape, grey pebbles cover an expanse of grey hills.

    Winter hovers in front of her, smiling, black liquid corrupting the right half of his face, his good eye glinting (as it likes to do).

  13. Winter laughs, turning and watching the distant form of Circestran.

    Clouds cover the city, flashing in the darkness above, wind from the mountains to the east blow down. (Winter's not controlling the weather)

    The angel appears about twenty feet in front of Circestran, black liquid leaking from his left tear gland, spilling out in the wind, his body burning.

    "I suppose it's past the point of honorably fighting. If you want to follow me, you may."

    He smiled (slightly insanely), then was gone.

    (Korin is still there, trying to block Nath as Fox escapes)

  14. 1 minute ago, Nathrangking said:

    A buckler of raven bone appears across Circestran's arm as she watches the burning figure ascend to meet her. He will be cautious now. Let us see how skilled this one is. Behind her shield three floating throwing knives appear. She releases them, turns, and flies away. She stops a mile away, turns back, and waits.

    "You claim to know love. Is this why you seek war? None who are so wise and knowing seek battle when peace can be achieved. He gave you a body which he can easily take away. How long will you be free once he tires of you? I do believe that you care for Fox I hear it in your voice. Don't do this. I can defeat him with help from my friends. He is young and brash. He does not understand as you do not. I will not leave my friend behind. I swore by the ancient gods to protect her on pain of my death. I will not fail her. "

    "Pathetic."

    Winter knocks the three blades to the side, appearing next to Circestran, his deadly, burning hands striking...

    Korin bit his lip, blood falling down to his chin. He held his guard.

    "You speak blasphemy. I refuse to let you past, on pain of my own death. I will not fail her either."

  15. 2 minutes ago, Nathrangking said:

    Circestran grins as she sees her enemy pivot and strike from the right. She jumps out of the way and brings down her blades on the extended arm. Her right blade vanishes after she strikes. She taps the arms and sends a curse up  it. The limb bursts into unnatural flames which grow stronger by the moment. She takes to the sky out of his attack range.

    I sigh. Summoning two great swords of light. "Winter has done nothing, but take from you. Are you free? Can you love? Have you seen the cosmos beyond these walls. Have you known beauty in its rawest form?" I take a defensive stance. "You have not truly been freed. You are in a prison of your own making." I look over at Fox a tear falling from my eye. "I could not battle my demons alone Fox. Neither of us could. I swore to protect and do whatever it took to keep you safe, but if you don't want to go I can't make you. Stab me Fox. Go ahead. If you need to stab someone let it be me."

    @Scarletfox

    Winter stumbles back against the wall, pushing up in the sky to pursue Circestran, his arm burning. That was a double edged sword, she would soon see.

    Ah, Winter it hurts!! Please, make it stop!!

    "I am more free then I have ever been. He has given me myself. I know love that you can only begin to grasp."

    Korin shifts his blade down, stepping back with his right foot.

    "I will hold you for as long as it takes. If my body is the shield my friend needs, so be it."

  16. 52 minutes ago, Nathrangking said:

    Despite the danger or possibly because of it Circestran smiles. Finally, a worthy adversary. She spins her blades and leaps forward with all of the speed of the ancient demon gods whom she has slain. Time stops as she runs forward an almost maniacal grin on her face. Power pulses around her as she moves.

    "Why do you serve him? He has trapped you. I will free you if you let me." Once again my eyes return to Fox. My voice fills with genuine pain. "You should have used the knife on me. That I would not have shrugged off." My pain rushes along our bond despite my attempts to stop it. I temper it with a wave of warm light as I did before. "You made me stronger. Kill me if you must, but I will not fail you."

    @Scarletfox

    Winter halted for half a second, in his mind's eye seeing the charging figure.
    A line meets a circle, a circle meets a line. If I face her head on, it's strength against strength.

    The angel smiled, stepping back with his right foot, then pivoting, swinging his body in a circle and meeting Circestran's charge from the right side, with a metal fist...

    Korin laughs, staying in position.

    "Winter has not trapped me, he has freed me. There is nothing you could do to equal him."

    Korin glances at Fox, pleading in his eyes.

    "Please, run. Do it for everyone that has ever wanted to keep you safe. Do not listen to this demon's lies."

  17. Winter glances up into the sky, past the alley where he stood.

    Something flashed in the darkness above him.

    He raised his arm, just as an arrow was fired: it sunk, sticking straight through the other end of his hand.

    Winter cursed, instantly in the sky; there was another winged figure.

    He laughed, an insane laugh, the laugh of his death.

    "I suppose I have to kill you if I am to leave. So be it, I do not care how many I have to kill."

    Something hit his mind; a message from Korin, a distress signal.

    The angel smiled, a crooked, evil smile.

    "Let's make this quick."

    Nath was here. There was nothing Korin could do, except buy time. That was his only purpose at this point, having nothing else to give his friend.

    "Fox, run!!" he shouted, drawing his light dueling sword, holding it in guard stance.

    "You cannot have her, devil."

    @Nathrangking

    @Scarletfox

  18. "Watch the Fox, Korin. I give you a body because I find that I can trust you, but guard her with your life. Notify me if anything is wrong, I am tracking another source and will be back shortly. I cannot create Mordred's body, only the one who called her soul has the power to do so, and I do not trust in Loki."

    "Yes, you have my word, Winter. I will guard her with my life."

    Winter disappeared into his mind, dismissing Mordred and Loki to Mor's dingy apartment room.. His mind around him warped into a dirty alleyway. He stepped out, sinking against a wall, his wings screeching against the stone.

    Da(rn) you, Winter. Trusting someone. I should need nobody, I should kill all of my emotions. Who cares about them anyway!? You shouldn't have left them with bodies, they could escape at will and all of the time would be wasted. But why should I care about time? Time is nothing.

    The angel suddenly stood, punching the stone wall.. his hand broke the rock.

    The slightest stir of wind from Winter's left;

    There was a man standing at the entrance to the alley, bald on top with a half-doughnut of white hair and dark blue robes. He wore a crucifix at his neck and he was grinning, rather smugly.

    Winter looked down at the two blades protruding from his chest and stomach;

    Soul Destroying.

    The angel's eyes glinted, and the priest started in surprise.

    -XXX-

    His eyes had the same surprised look, even after being separated from the head.

    Winter left the collection of blood-covered body parts in the alley, summoning Mordred to the front of his mind.

    Winter! Kor and Loki are gone!! They just disappeared.

    Yes.

    Mordred's silence asked the question for her.

    They're gone. Forever.
