"Excellent." He turns to Valve. "Do not go back to your work, child. I shall return shortly." He then takes the Narrator to the other room, where Valve is still visible through a window. "Well? Tell me what you know, construct."
-
Amnesia, eh? And a Ignitis watcher... An experiment perhaps, by another Narrator? Maybe a rival dealt with? So many possibilities... "Ignitis. Will you tell me who and where your master is if the girl is out of earshot?"
-
"Ignitis, stay here. Me and the girl are going to speak in another room. And don't try to eavesdrop, I can sense you." He grabs her shoulder and hauls her into an adjourning room, ignoring any protests. "Where were you born, girl?"
-
"Fine. Why are you spying on this girl then?"
-
There was a deeper story here, Spade could feel it. A Narrator who didn't know of her Narratorhood and a Ignitis spying on her. As far as he could tell, neither were lying. In any case, this girl wouldn't be much help to him. Whoever created this Ignitis, however... "You, Shadow Ignitis, who is your master and why do you watch this girl?"
-
"Uh... Ok. Are we just going to walk off in a random direction then?"
-
You see Kyt walk up to the operator, greeting him warmly and they speak, though the conversation is out of your earshot.
-
"Do you know where she might of went? Any other information that you might deem useful on her?"
-
Spade scans around the place, looking for other things that have been Narrationally touched, to see if she was lying or not about not knowing they could do that. Indeed, he felt something strong- an Ignitis, hiding in the dark. They shined brightly with the power of a Narrator, though if it came from specifically this girl is not knowledge parted by his ability. "Truely, you did not know about your kind and their powers? Then what is that?" he says, pointing directly at the corner where Shame hid.

This was getting more and more strange. Had some other Narrator fooled him into a wild goose chase? Had this Narrator somehow forgotten that they were such a being? No matter. He'll test her now. "You are a Narrator, are you not? Here, narrate, such as this:" The wrench rose into the air and began to repair the car engine on its own. He says flatly, and indeed it happens. "Now you do so."
-
His frown deepens. Who was this? All his senses told him this was a Narrator but it appeared to be just some character mechanic! Was she pretending? If he found out she wasn't a Narrator, he could just kill her... Seeing their fear and surprise would certainly be nice. "You may give up the act. I am one of your kind and there is no reason to pretend around me."

Hmmm. Spade stands in front of a workshop, frowning. Something was very, very wrong. He had sensed a Narrator here, but there seemed to be no evidence. No signs of tampering, of kingdoms of stories such as his. At first, when he got close enough to tell which character-ruled nation they were in, he had just assumed they had made her realm much smaller. That was respectable, after all- getting more intimate with your story and it's ups and downs made sense, even if it wasn't to his taste. But then Spade got closer, and closer, and there was not a whisper of anything odd or isolated. Perhaps they had clouded the minds of these nearby characters? But then he reached the city, and then he started to worry. There wasn't a whisper of narration here. Not even the fools in the Hall of Words had their eyes drawn to this place in a long time. Had their meddling interfered with his ability to sense Narrators and Narration? It would be disastrous if they did, but there was no evidence of that- he could still sense his own Narration back in his kingdom along with whispers of other Narrators all across the land. But if it still worked- what was this single Narrator doing here, seemingly uninterested in the world around them. And so he stood, in front of this workshop for characters who build and repair cars. The front door was locked, but even with his massively reduced power a simple lock meant nothing to stop him. The lock broke open at Spade's touch. Narrated Spade, tapping the keyhole. The lock collapsed into it's component mechanisms and crumpled to the ground with a symphony of pings and tinkling metal. He slammed open the door and stepped in. @Random Bystander

"Very well. The Oathgate's right here." Indeed, the platform loomed in front of them, people crowding on it. "You, stay here. I'm going to go speak with my friend that's operating the Oathgate, see if he knows where the Lightweavers are."
-
"Ah, some sort of Forcer thing then?" He shrugs and tucks it into his pocket. "Anyway, where are we going?"
-
"Yeah, truth is stranger than fiction, they say..."

"Is it safe to be around you lady? I mean, if you see murder as 'petty' perhaps I should be worried for my own safety." She chuckles, before clearing her throat. "Anyway, where is Selene?"
-
"No one in particular. We need a scryer, or someone else that can magically spy around the world to look for what we need."
-
"Can you find and kidnap people? We need someone of particular talents to aid us in escape."
-
"Well, what skills do you have?"
-
She enters and sits across from Jolone. "Excuse my impertinence, but I don't think the murder of a family member is a 'petty drama.'"
-
"Would you like to escape this collapsing universe with us?"
-
"I would like and see you try to kill me, especially while you fend off 300 zombies." "I see. And why might you be here?"
-
"Ha! Apparently your lair isn't so secret. So, who are you?"
-
"Hmmm... Anyway, the oathgate is just this way. Have any questions before we get there?"
