  2. The humming continues to get louder and despite the sun having fallen below the horizon, a bright light begins to shine from over the hills to the south.
  3. "Ah, good. And that is a just belief, though I am afraid that it cannot apply to me. I wish to get back to civilization and out of these fearful plains."
  4. "That is going to inconvenient. At least it gave us some extra bodies..." He waves his hand and the corpses of the troopers shiver then climb back to their feet, eyes glassy and unfocused, wounds still bleeding.
  5. "The number rapidly fluctuates under the Hall of Word's gaze. Ones that are also Narrators, however? I would have little idea."
  6. "That was where we were heading. Do you wish to come with?"
  7. I continue to simply sit bored back at the Ghostblood' place. Why here, and why now? Of course I had been found by the protagonist that Brandon has literally said would be the villain in any other story. Oh, and this is another story all right. Sigh. Why couldn't I have ended up somewhere nicer? I mean, Sel might of been nice if we showed up near the end of the story, like how we showed up at not quite the beginning of Alloy of Law. And I certainly wouldn't mind being an Elantrian, though the learning process of the Aons would make it not his first choice. Same with Nalthis, I suppose. I always liked Warbreaker. Actually, now that I think of it, it's probably my favorite Cosmere novel. It probably shouldn't be, with masterpieces like Oathbreaker. I really shouldn't think of them as fiction now, since they are actually all true. Even the insanity of Roshar... Say, Alloy of Law is set slightly before The Way of Kings, right? Yeah, good thing they didn't land in Roshar. The magic system is probably better to learn since you get a friend and don't really need a dictionary, but Roshar as a planet kinda sucks and obviously the Desolations are even worse.
  8. "Perhaps I should bribe you with some fine wool it new knitting needles. Would you speak then, you old hag?" She chuckles maliciously. "It's been a while since I've been to such party. It's a good thing I packed that fine dress. Anyway, goodbye. I wish you luck in harassing more people simply trying to do their jobs." She glares at her one last time before leaving.
  9. Sorry about my complete lack of any posts this week. This week's been stacked with stuff and afterwards I always have 0 motivation to do anything afterwards. I should be able to post tommorow though, and after that everything should go back to normal.

  10. The zombies rush forward, ignoring any gunfire tearing through them until they physically cannot move anymore from damage.
  11. "Not all of them, that's my mistake. A good group of them, though."
  12. "I guess. But with a hobby you're making something, like a scarf or a journal or sculpture. But reading you just read, and I think theorizing is a hobby separate from the pastime." "I have no idea. The deepest I've gotten into this sort of thing is Theodore Brown's Molecule book. Uh... a benzene sounds like a carbon ring? Maybe?"
  13. "So. where are you travelling to? I am heading for the realm of Syagrius, in Gaul, where I have heard that he is still loyal to the emperor, if only in words." He winces, before saying "I apologize for my questions. It has been too long since I've had a proper conversation."
  14. "Hmm? Oh, they're currently at Kholinar. Do you know where we could find the Lightweavers?"
  15. The sun begins to set, the sky turning crimson over the abandoned town. As you argue, however, a faint humming begins to echo over the hills.
  16. "I'm not sure if reading is a hobby- I think it's a pastime. Hobbies are more active while reading is more passive."
  17. Jaxothxe summons about a dozen zombies out of their cave and positions them to the sides of the entrance, in case of attack.
  18. "Indeed. Two powerful Narrators appeared in this girl's workshop. One appeared to have been spying on her with a shadow-ignitis and the other claimed to be a 'dark lord'. They then began to fight and we had to run to here, wherever this is."
  19. "I see. I served in the army of the Empire as a proud member of the Equites. And thus I am trained in the horse and the longspear. It's served me well ever since that child Romulus was exiled."
  20. "Well, we need to find one of those two Narrators that brought us. Both seem very powerful and will probably be able to help us, with some convincing."
  21. @Frustration
  22. "Oh. Cool. Man, I wish I had a hobby that may actually help me in the future..."
  23. "It's a rather large assumption that he'll just attack us unprovoked. I mean, I don't care, but if he does randomly attack us, we can just run away, yes?"
  24. He straightens, and scoffs, looking mildly flustered. "Can we just go, girl?"
