Was luke warm with Adolin at first. Put one foot on the Adolin train in WoR and OB but im fully onboard now. I have big hopes for him and Maya doing things that radiants can't. Can a human bond a spren?

Thanks for taking the time to listen, it means a lot. You are correct and we may revisit it. We've been trying to not exceed 1 straight quote or wiki reference in a song. To be honest "another secret" or "secrets upon secrets" was being used for the last line in the song but we already had the "3 diamond shapes overlapping themselves" and i could not find a better way to write that...so we tried to cut away other direct references and replace with stuff from our heads. Again thanks for listening! Also just a heads up for any that are interested. About a couple months ago my computer died. New computer is finally here so new music will be coming. During that time i also finished RoW. So i have been staying away from 17th shard to not be spoiled. I am back now though. Done with book 4, new computer is up and running. Time to get back to music. Whie we have a long list on songs and paintings we want to do...if any of you draw, paint, write poems, write music or have ideas that mesh with a bag of ghostblood tapes...lets chat. Yall are great. Its nice to have a place to talk cosmere. After a day and reading the replies it seems like a Roshar Crazy is paper thin. I still cant shake the feeling of another power working on roshar that we havent been shown yet. Also cant shake the feeling that Cultivation is behind the feeling. Its too many feelings and too much shaking.

Ok, that's good. At least my mind isn't wandering into its own delusion. I was going to add Navani to the list as well, but like the stormfather I am unsure about her and the tower bonding. Navani does not seem to be Roshar Crazy though. Yeah, after reading RoW my mind keeps going back to BAM and the Recreance.

Something that has been on my mind since finishing RoW is the overall sanity of Roshar and its peeps. Who is not suffering from artificial delusions or sanity problems? I could list characters but you all know better than I about this stuff. I'm not referring to Kal's depression, Shallan's personal path or the like. I am talking the crazy spren at the trial, the heralds, old odium, some of the fused...characters acting irrational or acting upon a delusion. Adolin and Cultivation seem to be the only ones not suffering from the "Roshar Crazy." Is it just a lack of Honor? Am I imagining the Roshar Crazy? Is something or someone causing a collective sanity problem?

I never really entertained theories on the Recreance until I finished RoW. There was not enough info and it was clear that it was supposed to be unclear. Reminded me of the lore of Wheel of Time in that it was mysterious but static. When lore was uncovered in the Wheel of Time it didn't really change the past just shed more light. RoW changed that. Clearly this period of time where BAM is trapped and oaths are broken must be shown, solved and or understood for current events to climax.

Just finished. I really enjoyed RoW. There were moments in the book that took my breath away. RoW changed a lot of things for me about the history of Roshar. To be honest, RoW kinda flipped the Stormlight hourglass for me. I was only really having fun looking forward. I was accepting of the Recreance as some sort of event that was a done deal...like I felt the "mystery" of the Recreance was a result of time passing and people forgetting. Now I am super intrigued and invested in looking backward. My mind was wrapped up in our current line up of events and people (Dalinar, Kal, Shallan etc) but now my mind is wandering the Recreance and BAM and....wtf was actually going on back then. Also the last scene with Wit and the new guy got me bad. First time Brandon has made me feel uneasy. The way things end in RoW are downright terrifying.

As of now I agree. In my world Way of Kings is a perfect fantasy book and OB is the coolest book I've read since my Clive Barker days. WoR was the least memorable of the 3 after one read for me...but I jumped from the wheel to stormlight. Stormlight was the first 3 books from Brandon I had read beyond the last 3 of the wheel. I read them back to back to back (they had already been released) then I jumped into his other works. In my situation I'm most excited to re read WoR because there was a lot I missed in terms of the Cosmere. I didn't start Hoid spotting til the 2nd book of Mistborn. And after reading Warbreaker well....

Hi, yall. 3rd entry in The Ghostblood Tapes: Dalinar. Like Shallan, Dalinar is mostly an impression left on me by the character. Words are a mix of his highstorm "episodes" and two losses that helped define him in my mind. RE, unsolicited criticism. I'm not sure if this thread is part of the reason that sticky went up. I did not solicit criticism because of everything stated in the sticky but it does feel lonely in here. I'm sorry if any of the project rubs peeps the wrong way, its definitely not the intent. Beyond that, I just would like to say that this project is being manifested by a few things. The main 3 being... 1. Love of Stormlight and BrandoSando's work 2. I loved eye of the world. I loved memory of light. Loved most everything written in between but no book stood out to me like the first and last...only scenes along the way.

The wheel really does a number on you after you finish it. I had a few days of this empty but content feeling. Saddness and awe. Grief and relief. Proud and lost. Dat final book was such a barn burner. Never read a book that almost gave off steam while reading it. It stills calls to me on lonely nights..."do you feel like sweating out your palms?" It says "Kinda" i reply.

I feel that, in my early 40s. Im hoping i can last til the end. I got my father into stormlight a couple months ago and he is almost done with OB. Very excited to read the new one book club style with him. We are hoping we get to read the 5th together...it would be an ending...not the ending but an ending.

2nd entry in The Ghostblood Tapes; Shallan Szeth's song is fairly straight forward. Its a music/art capture of one the first scenes in Stormlight. Shallan is different as are all the others. Shallan's song is not a scene capture but rather an impression left by reading so much about her through 3 books. Wit is amazing 100% of the time. Szeth was awesome at first but with the addition of a certain night colored sword he is easily at the top of my "whats gonna happen with this?" list. Dalinar, aka reverse darth vader is a Boss with a capital B.

First era Mistborn has the craziest world building twists. When taking the first three books together, I felt the world was the main character...and it twists and turns until almost the last page. The world starts outpacing everything else by book 3. I had an opposite reaction to the OP. I was a little underwhelmed by mistborn at first and totally blown away by the end of era 1.
