    "It's how life is," she sighs. "Every variation of anyone's appearance has drawbacks. For example, short hair looks awesome, but you don't get the drama of long hair."

    "Nope!" She pauses. "There's something about that. Journey. Journey before destination? We'll be there when we're there."

    I mean it's morphed into 'oh no, I'm uncomfortably close to becoming a legal adult', but yes.

    Kindness hugs back. "Well, I don't want to get eaten," she tells him. "So it works out for both of us."

    "Like I said, it's a risk we have to take. And Fadran said he wouldn't let me get eaten. Plus, we have the god of war with us. I'll probably be safe. And if something does happen..." Kindness shrugs, a sad smile on her face. "I've certainly had an amazing time with all of you."

    I have a very irrational fear of high schoolers. It stems from Pokemon Go. Basically, the local library was a Pokemon Go hotspot, and so all these teens would be sitting outside it, and I was very nervous and intimidated. At the time I was even shorter than I am now. This fear is now slightly awkward, as I am a high schooler myself. But it's still there.
