  1. Clinic: Calano's Office Calano turned to face the wall. "Thaidakar," He said, "Who else is with you? Where are you?"
  2. Quite a strange coincidence.
  3. Clinic: Infirmary, Room 4E "Influence Extractor," Alicia said simply, taking the extractor over to a small basin at the back of the room. She let the energy pool into the basin, and a screen above the basin began typing out information about the energy. "Destructive... dangerous." Alicia cursed softly. "You're dealing with a Class B God, did you know that?"
  4. Clinic: Calano's Office Calano frowned. "Nameless? Thaidakar? What about TAAron? Yeah, he's here." Clinic: Infirmary, Room 4E Alicia pressed the compass-looking instrument to Lerac's chest, then rotated. between the spokes, a strange energy pooled.
  5. Clinic: Infirmary, Room 4E Alicia tapped her chin thoughtfully, still staring at the instrument. She removed it from Lerac's head and set it down on the table, then selected another one. It looked like a geometry compass. "What would you describe this.. god's energy as?" She said, turning back around. Clinic: Calano's Office Calano held up a finger, still listening to the phone. "Hello?" He asked again. @UnfortunatelyNamed @The Bookwyrm
  6. Clinic: Infirmary, Room 4E "A few things. Strange Influences..." She scribbled something down. "Have you experienced anything mentally the past few days?" She asked, "Any... voices? Feelings that you don't think are yours?"
  7. Clinic: Infirmary, Room 4E Dr. Alicia led the group into room 4E, directing Lerac to sit on a bed. She nodded, then checked some boxes on her clipboard. A table appeared in the corner, with various instruments laid out atop it. She picked one up, and calibrated it. After she was satisfied, she gently set it atop Lerac's head, affixing little diodes to his head. The wires didn't go anywhere other than the strange helmet, but Alicia seemed to know what she was doing. She pressed a button on the top, and then looked at the instrument for a long while. "Hm." She said thoughtfully.
  8. The Clinic: Calano's Office Calano picked up his phone before Matra walked in, "Hello?" he asked into the phone. @UnfortunatelyNamed @Thaidakar the Ghostblood Then Matra walked in with muffins and he stood, taking one. Telrao walked in and did something, and Calano felt a little better, but... It still hurt. @Shadowed @Telrao
  9. I absolutely loved Fablehaven. When I was like 12 I went through like a whole Brandon Mull phase. I guess I like Brandons...
  10. Clinic: Calano's Office "If what happened to you and yours is in any way similar to what happened to me and mine, then chances are high that yes, they are gone." Calano paused. "I'm sorry," He said, even though he knew it would mean nothing. "I know your pain. Intimately."
  11. Clinic: Calano's Office "As far as we're aware, sans straight up Godhood, there is no way we, even in all our power, can cure it. It is simply... too much. Too Ancient." Calano said, tired.
  12. Clinic: Calano's Office Calano sighed, lowering his head. "You can't," He forced out, "It can't be cured. Not easily."
  13. Clinic: Infirmary Entrance Alicia wrote something down, then beckoned the group to follow. "Just some little Influence tests. Shouldn't take long, and it'll give us all the information we need." Clinic: Calano's Office Calano leaned back, rubbing his forehead. "Yeah, I know more," He said, then leaned forward again, "What do you need to know?"
  14. Clinic: Infirmary Entrance The woman frowned. "Of course we can check." She said, nodding her head. She put her hand out, "My name is Doctor Alicia Duvir."
  15. Clinic: Infirmary Entrance A middle aged woman ran up to the group. "What's the issue?" She asked sweetly but seriously, holding a clipboard in one hand. @The Aspiring Archivist
  16. Clinic: Lobby What was the world coming to? Was all Calano thought as first Haly and Mitis vanished, then this guy started dying, Telrao trying and apparently failing to help him, and all the emotions and thoughts whirling around his head. He needed to sit down, in a quiet space. His office. He whirled on the spot, reappearing in his office. He sat in the chair, and put his head in his hands, elbows resting on the desk. The soft, warm lighting of the office helped. He took a deep breath, then took a paper out of his desk to begin organizing his thoughts. Then he heard knocking. At his door. Seriously? "Come in," He called, slightly annoyed and in no way ready to meet with someone. @xinoehp512 @The Aspiring Archivist
  17. my anxiety i dont think would let me read grimdark and enjoy it. my stomach would probably start to hurt and it wouldn't do good things to me mentally. but hey, sounds like you enjoy it
  18. I've read the entire webcomic twice. I saw the show at my best friends house. it's the cutest thing i've ever seen.
  19. "Yeah," Calano said, tearing up, "I guess so."
  20. "It's exactly the same for me, TAAron," Calano said, "My homeworld, gone. My love, gone. I have next to nothing left."
  21. Clinic: Lobby "Hope be damned!" Calano shouted, "You think you've got it rough, you think you've got it bad. Tell me, TAAron, were you banished from your homeworld because Kaos was ravaging the ever living hell out of it? Did you banish your best friend, your future wife, your one true love, to a near eternity in the hands of a minor dark entity? Did you somehow gain her forgiveness, but then go years wondering if you earned it?!"
  22. Clinic: Lobby Something snapped in Calano as he stared at TAAron. "Nope," He said firmly, snapping his fingers. The shards of glass disintegrated. "None of that," He said, stepping up to TAAron, "None of that. At least you got to see her leave. At least you know for certain she's gone. I don't have that. It's tearing me apart inside, the idea that maybe Emma can be saved, or maybe she can't, that she's alive, or she's dead. But do I go immediately to suicide?" Calano looked at TAAron, waiting for an answer.
  23. Clinic: Lobby Calano stared, numb. "I don't know anymore..." He whispered, "Too much is happening."
