Cassie took the pipe, pausing a moment to wonder where it came from... no, the earthquake had left some of the construction more open. Then she closed her grip and concentrated on it, looking for that stranger place where aluminum lay. Soulcasting aluminum was always a bit stranger than the other metals. Not harder, just... stranger. But the pipe soon took on that off-silvery appearance that she'd come to recognize. "Here you are," she said, smiling back. Trying not to let the strange tingling in her arm show. She shouldn't have done that. But better for NullBlade to have a weapon than nothing. "Where did you think the explosion was? I think I zoned out there..." "I am happy to help, Ben. But it's important that you're aware of what you're feeling and why. When we're aware of our emotions it allows us make choices about how we respond to them. I'm not here to solve your problems or 'fix' your emotions, but to give you the breathing room to adjust yourself." That made sense. Byron felt some of his fear fall away - he knew it was from the Soothing, but even feeling braver made it easier to find things to be brave about. Vivica, Reshilore, Victoria... they were all strange, but they didn't seem all that threatening. Well, Vivica did, but she seemed more... what had he lost? She didn't seem that threatening to him, specifically. Then there was Sanax. He still was moving too fast, still was acting like a living aluminum knife... but both he and Vivica also seemed to know more than what Byron did. Maybe more than they led on. This was alright. They were... human. And even if Aln hadn't found him again, he could start to figure this out on his own. Then, of course, someone else walked into the room. Fortunately they did slow down when they walked through his bubble, but it was still a new factor. She didn't give a name, but Victoria introduced everyone, and Byron caught a few words - explosion. But that wasn't what really drew his attention. His focus was more on Sanax... cracking. Something about the new arrival had sent Sanax into a tizzy, collapsing to the floor then frantically scribbling out something. He did know something... but something was very wrong. Vivica seemed to be painting with her own blood, which somehow seemed less of a worry. "Mari," the newcomer said. "I haven't really seen any emergency personnel, but there were quite a few people around the entrance, so they'll probably be on their way. The entrance has collapsed though, so it might take them a bit to get through. I ended up using a smaller emergency exit to get in." Her eyes also seemed drawn to Sanax's etchings. Okay... that was strange. "I'm Byron," he finally said. "Technically a patient although I think I'm fine... I hope." Vivica and Sanax didn't provide the best vote of confidence to that, did they. "Did you say an explosion? Did the earthquake really do that much damage? Because I... nevermind. Nice to meet you." He turned to Victoria. "Do they... does Sanax do that often? Do I do that?" @kenod @Fatebreaker

LG84 Night 1: No More Atashments It didn't take long for panic to set in. The diplomats tried to continue their negotiations, but between the whispers of sedition and the frequent travels to and from more secret conferences of the empires, it didn't take long for them to gather two individuals. Levin Adventure, the stranger from some distant country, and General Manager Atashbringer, who claimed to be a moderator of the negotiations and help with the rules. Neither sat well with the untrusting group. As they were about to decide what to do, Atashbringer threw an accusation at Levin. Someone threw a punch in return. And before anyone knew what had really happened, Atashbringer was lying on the sand broken. And when they carefully searched his pockets, all that was found was a Teo symbol, but no diplomatic documents. There were infiltrators after all. But when the diplomats looked up, Levin was nowhere to be seen. Archer was executed! They were a Regular Disruptor within the Teo Empire! Thaidakar the Ghostblood was executed! They were a Regular Diplomat within the Fjordell Empire! So Elbereth and I decided the fairest thing to do is 1) Thaidakar should also be executed and 2) future vote ties would also result in all tied parties being executed.
