  1. More that I never know how to feel about people following my votes, especially ones that aren’t accompanied with a solid E read. … same although it’s lunch right now, but still need to do other things for a bit.
  2. ... oh Madagascar's not? Hmm. Yeah that would bump them up a bit, I'll have to go look at their game-relevant RP a bit more. Slightly paranoid on you for taking the same ideas on Xino vs Szeth as me, then going Szeth while I stayed Xino - Xino did post, but their post seemed a lot like C1 thoughts summary rather than new things, which seemed NAI to me. But also of the Fifth-Hael-Drake-Alvron, I played with E!you before (or did so more recently) and thus have a bit more to base stuff off of. So thanks for a big post I'll look at it in more detail later
  3. LG91 Night 3: Bloodwood Two was a lot. More than was wanted. The sun-scorched walls of Earthen Truth demanded retribution, and the Stones Below sent a gift. At the scene of one of the murders - whichever one it was - someone found a small stick. For some reason, that someone brought it to the meeting to discuss that morning. "It could be evidence," they said. "It is a stick," was the reply from someone in the crowd. Someone else's ears perked up. The Shamans may have control over the Honorblades usually, but the average Shin - especially in Earthen Truth - knew what they were capable of. Of Soulcasting and its principles. "Who said that!" They demanded. The crowd cleared around a figure, looking nervously from person to person. "What's your name!" someone yelled. "... Stick" was the reply. The crowd needed little more. The warriors among them new what to do. Blood stained the wood and dirt of Earthen Truth, and when all was said and done, an Honorblade was found by someone. As was the sigil of the Tukari. _Stick_ was executed! They were a Tukari Invader and the Bearer of Shalash's Honorblade! Shalash's Honorblade has been redistributed! Vote Count: _Stick_ (7): Araris Valerian, Shining Silhouette / Ookla the Debonair, Kasimir, Chantara, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher, Alvron, Elkanah Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher (2): The Unknown Novel / Ookla the Unknown, JNV Chantara (1): _Stick_ Elkanah (1): Cash67 (Note that Stick's vote switch to Archer was past 11:00) The turn will end on Tuesday November 29th at 11:00 PM PST. Player List:
  4. Vote Count! _Stick_ (4): Araris Valerian, Shining Silhouette / Ookla the Debonair, Kasimir, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher (3): The Unknown Novel / Ookla the Unknown, JNV, _Stick_ Elkanah (1): Cash67 Hour + 15 minutes left!
  5. ... I thought that was a general policy? I definitely don't sort through quote boxes looking for votes. Too easy to gloss over them or end up counting a vote someone else quoted. Kill analysis time? JNV Ashbringer Matrim Devotary xinoehp Drake Hael Wizard Bookwyrm Fifth Ventyl Shining Madagascar Fadran Turtle Alvron Ventyl is entirely inactive. Thus, no. Madagascar is also new, thus unlikely JNV Ashbringer Matrim Devotary Xinoehp Drake Hael Wizard Bookwyrm Fifth Shining Fadran Turtle Alvron xino was almost entirely inactive, and also if they were deciding a kill I feel like they would have been a bit more aggressive since they were the 2nd closest exe candidate for a bit. Also an E!xino world has a few other people to look at (ie late Szeth switchers) Fadran is also new, but not new to the Shard and iirc has looked at a few of the older (not that much older) SE games. Don't know if they would pick a kill, but that makes them feel slightly more likely than Madagascar. JNV Ashbringer Matrim Devotary Drake Hael Wizard Bookwyrm Fifth Shining Turtle Alvron Here's the neat thing. I feel like TUN gets killed early a lot, so I went back and looked, and TUN was last NK'd the first cycle in... MR60. You know. The last MR. 4 games ago. Of the people here, JNV, Matrim, Devotary, Xino, Wizard, and Shining were in that game. Ash, Drake, Hael, Bookwyrm, Fifth, Turtle, and Alvron were not. Not going to clear the in-game group for that immediately, but I will clear Devotary, because she was the one who actually decided that kill. Everyone else (JNV / Mat / Wiz / Shining) I feel would be unlikely to do it, but could - I'm hesitant to use their Village reactions to clear one of them, but Wiz called a C1 TUN kill "strange", Mat countered that it wasn't and was simply low info, and JNV was the C1 exe. If any of the MR60 crowd wants to chime in, that might help. Or might not, MR60 had weird mechanics. JNV Ashbringer Matrim Drake Hael Wizard Bookwyrm Fifth Shining Turtle Alvron TUN interacted with: Alv (jokingly), Fadran (jokingly), Drake, Mat, Szeth (saying is cuckoo maloo... which... idk if it's jokingly or not but Szeth is V anyway) and that was it. I'm not really up to date on people's kill methods, with of these only Mat and to some extent JNV are not vastly older or newer than me. But TUN fits low info like a glove, which makes it harder to find people to discount. Would like some thoughts on this. Of these... I'll toss a vote on Fifth to start. Mostly for leaving me on Xino all alone, but also hopefully to use a bit of what I learned in ye olde LG74
  6. Rollover in 4 hours! Vote Count: _Stick_ (3): Araris Valerian / ... wait Araris never went to his Ookla name. Vote Count: _Stick_ (3): Araris Valerian, Kasimir, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher (1): The Unknown Novel / Ookla the Unknown xinoehp512 / Ookla the Forgotten (1): _Stick_ Elkanah (1): Cash67
  7. Kalabel prodded at the door with a servo wrench. She was better at repairing things that had more things to test, more things that could go wrong over time. Droids tended to be like that. Broken motivator, try something, see if anything else breaks. If not, try it out. One of her first droid repairs had been that trial and error, trying to fix Bar9's projector. She did fix the projector, but then every access port had gotten itself stuck shut. A lot of rerouting power and adjustments later, Bar9 was back in shape. Just a trick of knowing what could be fixed and what could be worked around. A door, though. Doors either "work" or "don't work", and this one was firmly in the latter category. Whoever had busted in here and gotten anyone all fired up - although a few blaster shots later, some seemed to have blown of some exhaust and started a game of cards - had also done a number on the hardware. Durasteel did not like being bent, which meant it also did not like being bent back into place. So Kalabel's repair methods quickly devolved from investigating circuitry to repeatedly hitting a sheet of metal with a mallet, at least while Bar9 went to fetch more parts. An odd astromech, that one, though most older ones tended to be. Galtaran had made some modifications, but most of them involved accommodating a large table around its head. He mainly used it for drinks. Kalabel found it convenient for transporting and holding tools... and sometimes drinks. Durasteel sufficiently bent into shape, Kalabel tested the door one more time. The mechanism was supposed to make a satisfying whoosh. This door was more of a whoCHK as it caught on something else, but that was better than the initial nothing. And if her ears were right, there was less dust in the mechanism. Most things here were built to handle a bit of dust, but it never hurt to clean them off. You never know what interesting things you can find that are just covered in a simple layer of dust.
  8. I’d also rather stay on Xino. But don’t feel great about Szeth… meaning I’m agreeing with Fifth a lot. Huh.
  9. ... what was that about edits, Mat? On xino vs Ventyl, Ventyl hasn't been online since Tuesday. @Ookla the Forgotten was on 3 hours ago. So I'm staying there. I'm also back at college which hopefully means I can be here a bit more.
  10. LG91 Day 3: Both Had Belonged Dazi-son-ron was a strange individual at best. The way he spoke... Shinovar had abandoned many of the ways of the Radiants, but those of the Heralds they kept. Their history, their blades, and their knowledge of the beings they fought. The Voidbringers were not supposed to return, even with many Heralds being among the living. Talat-son-God's sacrifice was to ensure that. But Dazi-son-ron gave many people memories of foes best left in the dark. Then there was the one called Szeth. A curious name. Shin to a tee. Nearly too Shin. And yet, they rarely talked about their parents. Perhaps it was just closeness, perhaps it was a quickly made identity. Regardless, one of these was found and divided. Another was attacked by a Tukari invader fought off. It was hard to tell which. Neither were seen again. And both had belonged to Earthen Truth. Ookla the Tall / Matrim's Dice was killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! Ookla the Omniscient / Szeth_Pancakes was killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! The turn will end on November 28th at 11:00 PM PST. Am on a plane for most of tomorrow again, but will be around the 28th. Player List:
  11. Cassandra Adama, the Metallurgic Emporium Cassie opened her eyes. She wasn't entirely sure what she'd expected to see. The thoughts of the Beyond had never really occurred to her, not even in her own preparations. Those had been for the living more than her. At least she had used that excuse. But no, she just saw the ceiling of her room. Her room! Cassandra shot up off her bed, and the world spun like mad, wood and metal and leftover now-dun gems swimming across her vision. She stopped, feeling a strange sense of... not nausea, but something similar. Eventually the room slowed down, stopped. She started to move again, and the walls shifted a bit, but it was enough to navigate, at least to the mirror. Get a good look at her new life. The first thing that caught her eyes were the two large gemstones hanging from her cheekbones, gently swaying from their sudden motion. Why they caught her eyes was because Cassie realized those were now her eyes. At least focal points for them. Her original eyes were left as cold spheres of metal, unguided. Right. Even alive she had work to do. She paused. Part of her wanted to slam open the door, find NullBlade, tell him everything. Even if she wasn't done, wasn't complete, she was alive. And that had to mean something. She could help him now. She'd beaten the Soulcaster's game. She could... she could. But she also needed to fix her eyes. And probably several other things. She hadn't heard anything since she'd woken up, that she could tell. It was easier than expected to make a decision. Cassie had no indication of what time it was, how long she'd been dead. She had been, it was simply the truth of it. She was dead, but better. But however long it had been, it could be a bit longer. Reconnecting everything else was also easier. Still time intensive, but not worrying about her Soulcaster made separating the metal of her flesh to embed the crystal nerves that much neater. A small series of dissolutions and her eyes now properly stayed in their sockets, another set of crystals and hearing returned to the world. Sealing the wounds was also easier, just a small Soulcasting. A small part of her, the part from before, was disturbed by how easy it was for her to cut into the metal that used to be muscle, to remove her former eyes and replace them with better ones. A small part. But then, it was done. And Cassandra was alive again.
  12. xinoehp512 (aka Ookla the Forgotten) has been poked. So many people to poke though… it has only been a few hours.
  13. Kalabel was not a communications expert. Dusts, she wasn’t an expert in anything. Expertise requried experience, that was the constant drone of her teacher. Old Galtaran was a grump from the day he got left in Dreshdae by some pirate crew or another, but he’d singlehandedly also let the city cut down nearly a fifth of the droid imports. He said he saw a potential in Kalabel. She thought that he’d just gotten tired of being the single pair of hands. There were a few other technicians out and about, of course. She was worjing on a the dust-choked treads of some old farming droid when she could see Smarts was wandering in and out of the local tavern, nearly running straight into Turtle. That was odd. Those two worked on different things. And the tavern itself seemed… Far too quiet. Kalabel furiously cleaned the farmer droid, then dashed for the Drunk Side, calling Bar-9 with her.
  14. LG91 Night 2: Perpetual Potential The last time Shinovar had lost an Honorblade, a Herald Himself came to claim it. Now one was lost in the city after its Bearer was killed by presumably a mere human. Shaman's plan or not, this wasn't supposed to happen. They were supposed to draw in the Tukari into the open, not lead to Honorblades vanishing in the dead of night. Rizam-son-Azram wasn't one of the Honorblade's guards. Then again, Illwei had never discussed the Honorblades either. But Rizam was still blamed, for his part in Tweedle-son-son-Dumb's death and other reasons. Still, no Honorblade found. No Tukari icons present. No end in sight. Just a perpetual cycle of death. The Bookwyrm / Ookla the Perpetual was executed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! Vote Count: The Bookwyrm / Ookla the Perpetual (5): Turtle / Ookla the POKE VOTE, Araris Valerian, Matrim's Dice, JNV, Cash67 Szeth_Pancakes / Ookla the Omnicient (2): The Unknown Novel, _Stick_ Elkanah (2): The Bookwyrm / Ookla the Perpetual, xinoehp512 / Ookla the Forgotten xinoehp512 / Ookla the Forgotten (2): Kasimir, InfiniteInsanity Araris Valerian (1): Archer Paliah's Honorblade has been redistributed or claimed! The turn will end on November 26th at 11:00 PM PST. Player List:
