I don't think I read Steel's C1-C2 Elim, it seemed null to me. I might go back and look though. Depends what he says when he gets back to the thread.

One more thing - I also dislike TWTBAW arguments, so I wouldn't clear me on those. (Well, I clear me on other reasons, but you get what I mean.) But there also haven't been a lot of reads posts in general. I was half-suspecting Stick for posting so many D1 because it just felt detailed.

They sure do, don't they ... gonna be honest, I thought you did. There was a pile up early and then it half faded into other things. I haven't done a specific reads post. I am more trying to do things mechanically. Not my usual style, but this isn't a usual game. I think I have posted a few reads here and there, but they were mostly gut things and I don't remember the extent of them. But things have shown through. Like a gut that JNV's inactivity is NAI, while Dannex's was. I did specifically go for Dannex for that. And I'm specifically going for Steel now. I also tried to do that read gather post based on people changing D1 reads - the one where I asked for TJ/Archer/Aman/Fae to respond. I specifically didn't tag any of them. Aman responded immediately, which I expected. I was also expecting Fae not to respond because V!Fae wouldn't have an Elim Doc to remind them I'd asked about them. TJ I was more expecting to respond than not, and Archer less. That whole strategy got a bit upended by a 25-page-D2, but it was there. Let me put it this way. I'm playing... confidently, or deliberately. Perhaps too much. But there is a reason for that; one that you might share, actually. I'm trying to figure that out. Also, look for white text :P. Also there's 5+ new replies so I'm just gonna hit send and then get back to those.

My guess is Araris has a different role in addition to Porch Watching. It is powerful, but not that powerful. I’m trying to figure out whether this game can be solved via roles, and where my own fits into that. Making reads based on interactions is inherently difficult.

I am still wondering if there's more to TJ's role than just Roleblocker. Or if the Elims otherwise had indication of Xino's role. Doesn't seem like there was much besides a desire to be Trolled, which could be a reason to target but idk. Sort of brings me back to @Steeldancer. Which is, what role were you planning on grabbing that would be more useful than Lynchbait? Unless I'm reading things wrong, you can only copy a role every other cycle. N1 you could only grab Striker, N3 you've got a choice between RPer, Goalkeeper, Multiquoter, trying to find out Dannex's role, or whoever ends up exed here. I can see the value in surprising Elims with a role they think is gone forever, but we still have an RPer and Goalkeeper, along with several living roles that seem incredibly dangerous to the Elims like Bookwyrm's Analyst or Drake's NK. Were you planning on waiting until one of those died? Because I don't see a world where either of them gets exed today, meaning the first time you'd get to use one is N6. And a lot can happen by N6. NKs go flying, roles get claimed, and at minimum Devotary already knew what you could do and RandBy could find out faster than you could act. And Aman seems confident the Elims have a Pinchhitter too - I'm less so, but it's possible. (Also, I'm assuming dead Elims can still talk in their Doc, which would seem to make sense.) That, and a free alignment scan (that as far as I can tell is infallible, unlike both PM Spider and Analyst) seems to be one of the best abilities we've seen, and the Village bent over backwards D2 to do our best to make sure Striker's was successful. I just... don't see why we wouldn't use that. Unless you're Elim, and Lynchbait would instead out your fellows instead. I said I was sorry

I think UnTrolled-xino saw Bookwyrm target Orlok, or Trolled-xino saw Orlok target Bookwyrm. I'd assume Trolling a Multiquoter only shows one visitor, otherwise it's mostly obvious you got Trolled and Lookout can be a stronger role than Tracker at times. Edit: Oh. But yeah, that makes RandBy's troll claim not make sense. Unless Orlok targeted Bookwyrm for some reason. Or redirects. (I'm assuming no redirects because those are even more insane...)

ALIGNMENTS: ROLE CLAIMS: Updated for new Info. Still need to fill in a few things, mostly actual role names, but also if @Archer is fully claiming PM Spider and if @|TJ| has any special effects / what happens upon Trolling. Also Ash / JNV / Matrim / Biplet / Dannex / Orlok / Sart / Shining have yet to claim anything. Also if dead players can confirm they only had their one role, that would be helpful.

Aman’s essentially confirmed Village and was roleblocked N2 (unless Bookwyrm got Troll immune), and we haven’t seen other Roleblocked claims.

Unless Tani wants to confirm, we don’t know how dead Elims count, but dead Villagers apparently don’t. Also dead Elims can probably still use their NK. Edit: also roleblocked then murdered, Elims really have it out for Xino it seems…

Wait Drake, you (er, past you) killed TKN? Huh. I think the dead Villagers (or Elims) are our Vote Manipulation. All other vote manipulation abilities have been tremendously situational, if not just weaker than traditional.

I mean, Aman can essentially choose whether he wants to protect or kill a target, there’s three different alignment scan abilities, two different role copy abilities, and somehow on top of all that Araris’s ability has a built in nerf of making him easier to exe.
