  1. QF60 was a special case and represents— in my opinion, no disrespect intended— total village failure rather than anything I did. I should lose that game every time, plain and simple. A better example of my e play is basically any game from the last few months :P.
  2. Both of them have been active enough to submit kills. That’s definitely not clearing.
  3. Devo didn't flip rb/lurcher. She flipped roleless. That is an assumption on the nature of flips though. @Szeth_Pancakes do we get roles and alignments with flips? There's a difference between opening up and mass claiming. I'm not saying no one should claim ever, I'm saying that we all shouldn't claim publicly. Doing so will create targets for the elims without giving us any useful info. The power roles should stay hidden. That's a very odd take (considering your next paragraph which is quite contradictory) and goes against your D1 Exp vote, which, granted, you said you voted him for "no reason" but you also said he was being "elimmy" so I'd at least assume you were on the magic-gathering side of that argument. And then yeah this last part honestly just confuses me I don't think I ever said it did? I meant low info like there isn't much to analyze as far as Devo's posts/reads. You're not wrong that TKN would have made a better low info kill though. Kinda makes me want to vote him. (The previous sentence was written before I remembered I am voting him lel) Oh it's absolutely filler, I 1000% say that as an elim :P. ALRIGHT Villagers: Archer DeTess Village Reads: Aeoryi JNV Everyone Else: Araris Mark TKN Frustration Stink Wish I could narrow it down more than that but I really can't
  4. 1– I’ve played with Devo since I joined the shard. Technically possible, yes, but I think I know what I’m talking about when I say it’s unlikely. But you missed my actual question: What does a scan have to do with any of this? 2– This game has a different vibe, I’m sure you won’t disagree. Besides, that game was more blackout than this one. In this game, we know protect roles exist. We know roleblockers exist. Forcing them to claim won’t give anyone info besides the elims, about who to kill. If anyone has any useful information, by all means share it, but we’ve already discussed and argued about the real life aspect of the game, gotten nowhere with it, and it’s only been one cycle. Based on Szeth’s statement in the OP, I think we’ll learn more soon enough. 3– Not a counterpoint Not sure I buy that tbh. Reads like fake nonchalance. TKN can say he’s lazy. You’ve been keeping up with the thread and with PMs, so that’s not an excuse. And like. Can you read the rules? If you want info on the game, read the rules, don’t ask people to claim when you don’t even know what you’re talking about :P. Sorry if that comes off too strongly. I need sleep .-.
  5. Why would the elims having a scan have anything to do with why they killed Devo? That line of thought makes no sense to me. Devo isn’t usually a prolific PMer, either. Also I think mass roleclaiming is a very bad idea. People have useful roles. No point in telling the elims where they are. And because magic passing is a thing and there’s no way to check investiture levels, it’s ridiculously easy to say you tended the tree without actually doing it, so that just doesn’t work.
  6. Actually says exciting, not interesting But yeah that doesn’t bode well Devo is a weird kill. A really weird kill. Clearly low info, but maybe can glean something from isoing her. She voted Exp though. Honestly was planning on having her in prime PoE today but I guess I’ll start with TKN instead
  7. The “are we reading the same game” bit was specifically directed at you saying Archer trusted Szeth too quick when like the opposite happened but yeah That was because Exp two seconds after saying okay must have PMd me asking the same thing you did :P.
  8. Are we reading the same game? xD Archer said that he complained against Szeth and it counted for his one per two cycles
  9. I have to say, Frustration accidentally not voting for DeTess puts a damper on my theory Or supports it You decide?
  10. I probably would have voted there anyway, because I have a DeTess/Frustration team theory, but Mark's vote certainly didn't hurt. I'm not :eyes: The fact that you voted wasn't out of left field, but who it was on felt that way. From your play so far I hadn't expected the kind of vote you gave.
  11. Archer dodged DeTess' question, noted. Sure Village reads-- Aeoryi: I actually agree that they're playing differently from their first game, but given I aggressively pushed them at the start of the turn that sort of makes sense to me. I don't like their voting patterns, but again from their PoV it makes some sense. The main reason for my read, though, is their response to my accusation-- they shut down, immediately gave up, and gave off a sense of annoyance that I think follows a villager mindset much more than an elim one. Them later citing Exp's misdirection as a reason to vote him I think also follows this villager mindset. I'm slightly skeptical of that last part though because someone said that it was Aeoryi's idea to gambit around me? @Aeoryi can you clear up exactly who's plan it was to do the gambit around PMing me JNV: PM vibes. They've been free with info and nice to chat with, if a bit inactive >> I don't like the Szeth vote, honestly, but early interactions look good imo Archer: Been solvy in PMs and I like the angles he's been pushing in thread. I think Araris is right in that elims probably wouldn't launch into trying to exe the GM, and I think Archer's hyperfocus on that is a village mindset. PoE-- Experience: Had him in my PoE because I really wasn't sure, but I don't think I ever was going to vote him. PM vibes were mostly good and I trusted Archer's PM vibes as well. I think I also had him in my PoE because I didn't love his reaction to my accusation, but that obviously was a bad read :joy: DeTess: I disagreed with your reason to vote Exp, mostly, so it was kind of a Mark sheep. I thought Exp's statement was fair, and that it was obvious he wasn't advocating not passing magic altogether and instead was just noting the possibility of giving the elims more power, which is an understandable worry imo. I preferred your exe to Exp's and while I was mildly interested in what would happen if Szeth got exed I wasn't going to vote there, so tying it up seemed like the best choice given my Exp paranoia and my read of you. Frustration: I hate when people read people as elim because "it seems like they're being coached" but it kiiiinda feels like Frustration is being coached xD His Aeoryi vote just felt so out of left field and I don't think his explanation for it actually made sense. I just don't know where it came from. @Frustration can you respond to this post please and thank you TKN: Threw him in there because of engagement (or lack thereof). No real read but I feel like he should play more Speaking of which @STINK glad you're feeling better but can you backread and make some reads, that'd be great to do thanks! :D. :D. :D. Anyway hopefully that helps, I gtg go do calc now unfortunately, have fun yall
  12. You weren’t in danger of dying though, a bunch of people had more votes than you. So that doesn’t work. …He clearly didn’t do it on purpose? And that misunderstanding got cleared up ages before the cycle ended. I still think you’re probably village but just trying to understand your pov. I guess that was your pov.
  13. Why’d you sign up if you’re too bored of blackout games to play C1 :P. /s I posted a VC like an hour before the cycle ended :P. Good point on Szeth. I didn’t use mine so I can’t help with that, though. Eh, that’s too quick of a clear imo. Elims can be bored too.
  14. Aeoryi, did you have a reason for that vote beyond self pres? Devo, what was your reason?
  15. Can you show me where they do this? I can't find it anywhere though I didn't do more than a quick scan
  16. We don't know you're getting complaint deathed, so this is objectively false. This is never a good reason not to vote someone. (That being said, Frustration-- I would like an explanation for why you think Aeoryi is "the right choice") TKN Works for me I do like Araris' vote tbh, bumps him up for me. Edit: Who wants to bet Frustration is submitting the elim kill :eyes:
  17. Had voted Mark as an engagement vote but as he's made two thought out posts that doesn't apply anymore. I kind of was gutreading him evil in our PM but I'm unsure about that. Reread but didn't get much. Aeoryi's Exp's vote was advertised as self pres, even though it was pointless to self pres, which is again weird, but I don't think they knew that. Most of my other vibes are from PMs. I think I'm fine with putting Aeoryi JNV Archer as village, and I'd say that my main PoE is Exp DeTess Frustration maybe @The Known Novel VC: Experience (2): DeTess, Aeoryi Szeth_Pancakes (1): Archer Archer (1): Experience DeTess (1): Mark Actually gonna just ping everyone who hasn't voted @Araris Valerian @Devotary of Spontaneity @JNV @Frustration @STINK + TKN Vote, it helps
  18. Counterpoint: Szeth isn't nobody. He's a GM who has lied to us :P. I don't like your Archer vote because it's based mainly on a disagreement of principle. Sure, you can say an elim would look for an easy way out of voting, but that's not how Archer plays. Mark
  19. Any thoughts on any of the players?
  20. You weren't defending yourself though. You gave up, immediately self voted, and asked multiple times about the votestate. That looks weird from my PoV, but I'm willing to give it a pass because I think your reaction to my vote leans village. I don't think Exp is elim atm, and I don't think self pres is necessary. Why the vote?
  21. Frustration Szeth_Pancakes
  22. Slight evil lean on Aeoryi for caring so much about their death (but also you’re self voting so ???) Slight evil lean on me for being hypocritical but no I think there is a difference between defending yourself to an extreme and simply caring about the vote state without doing anything about it
  23. Yeah okay that makes more sense GM RP smh what does that even mean Szeth why are you confusing
  24. No, but inactivity has, and it's annoying :P. Don't sign up if you aren't gonna play :P. The vote is purely a poke, I just want everyone to show up. I'll move by EoD, but I do think using complaints as a CC is a valid strategy. The issue with that is more that if Frustration's village the elims will just join me for a free kill. @Szeth_Pancakes do we get a complaint vote count, or is it completely anonymous?
