I have a question of upmost importance

If you had a Duplicator gun- like, a ray gun type thing- and you shot it at a box that was closed, and there was a shoe inside the box, would it duplicate the box and the shoe, or just the box?

  I'd guess that it depends on what you view as an object, it could just duplicate the couple atoms it touched

  I think it just depends on how the dupe gun works and how it materializes the duplicated object.

  Like what others said, it depends on how the box views itself. If the box and shoe view each other as essential pieces of themselves, it will duplica te both. If a random show was just tossed in the box a few seconds before getting shot, it will only duplicate the box.
