Wait. I don't think this is talked about enough.

We know the Alethi are tall.

We know Shallan is short.

I only just now realized how short Shallan is.

In Words of Radiance when she's speaking with Adolin and he says he knows what she's up to, and she replies "5 feet, 6 inches."

On the Coppermind regarding Adolins height, it says: "There is some inconsistency as to Adolin's height; he is described as both shorter and the same height as Dalinar. Shardplate adds a few inches to his height but still doesn't make him as tall as Kaladin."

The Coppermind says "Kaladin is a fairly tall man," so that's not going to be of much help, and it doesn't say anything specific on Dalinars height. 

Betrayal Shardbearer on Tumblr puts Adolin at 6'6. So. Please enjoy this scale drawing (and my incredible art skills).

Thus, I must conclude: Adolin is Tall, and Shallan is Short.

(And yes, I know Adolin's hair looks like a pile of spaghetti, I am not an artist.)
