  1. This looks really fun, but there's no way I have the time for this with Sacrifice and the next Hunger Games coming up...
  2. Kit Kats are the best chocolate, though Reese's are a close second.
  3. The figure seemed to be attached to the river bottom in some way, as it was constantly tugged by the flow of the frozen water. The glow seemed to be coming from the ground beneath the figure.
  4. But what if I did?
  5. A hole finally forms as the ice is separated. The glow is more visible through the water, and there is a silhouette of some type of figure at the bottom of the river.
  6. What's the point if you can just win?
  7. Cracks begin to form in the ice as it creaks beneath the pressure. Water slowly begins to creep through the cracks.
  8. The river was completely frozen over, but an unusual glow seemed to be coming from the water below.
  9. Cole steps outside and the briskness doesn't seem to bother him like it usually does. This will be nice. ... Snow begins to fall around Mike. What in the Shades?
  10. "Someone...gave them to me." He replied. "C'mon, if you want to survive, you better get out now while you can." Cole beings to make his way out of the inn, not caring to see if Erin follows.
  11. Cole heard the call, and almost did nothing. He didn't want to save them, really. But he realized that it was necessary. It may be the only way to get what he really wanted. Cole got to his feet and walks into the burning building. He decided to experiment with his newfound power, shooting ice out of his hands to devour any fire in his path. He soon reaches Erin, and puts out the fire that separates them from safety.

  13. The nod was all that he needed. A faint, ghostly line left the side of the girl's head and entered into Cole's hand. It had no substance, but felt icy cold on his skin. Cole smiled as the mostly transparent line continued to flow into him. It was so small he was sure almost nobody would notice it. After a few more seconds, the line ended and floated through the air into his hand like a ribbon. He groaned and fell to his knees, though the smile never left his lips. He lifted up has hand, palm facing the sky, and a tiny snowflake appeared.
  14. Michael immediately jumped out of the bed and ran out of the room to find the source of the obviously unnatural fire. He burst out of the door on the first story to find...a bizarre scene. So many abilities. So much power. Michael walked over to the girl who had some sort of ice based powers. That would be very useful. He put his hand on her shoulder and says, "I can help you, if you allow me to." @Ookla the Raveness
  15. "Of course." He rolled his eyes. Are you going to be able to sleep at all tonight?"
  16. "What do you m-" Cole disappears, as does the screen showing Erin. Shades. How was he supposed to separate fantasy from reality? ... Michael blinked and his eyes returned to their natural color. He appeared confused. "Erin? Is something wrong? Why did you wake me up?" He asked slightly harshly.
  17. Michael waited a moment, then willed himself to sleep, ready to speak to his brother once more. ... Mike opens his eyes and groans. Was there really no way out of this? Would he be trapped in this mind prison forever? He hears footsteps and immediately turns around to see his brother Cole walking towards him again. Mike puts his hands to his head and groans. "Why is my mind coming up with all this. How are you supposed to be in any way helpful?" Cole smiles. "Your mind isn't making this up, Mike. I am very much real." Mike shakes his head. "Not possible. I...I killed you. My mind is just going into shock." "You didn't kill me, Mike. I survived. And now I'm here. If only mother could have joined us." Mike flinches slightly. "You can't prove to me that you're alive. That my mind isn't just making this all up right now." "You're right, because anything you know, I would know because it's your memory. What if I told you that Erin is no longer at the river? That she's back at the village with me?" Mike snorts. "What? Like that's supposed to convince me that you're really alive? You're just making that up." "Then what's that?" Cole asks, pointing at a second screen that has appeared next to the one showing Mike's continuously drowning body. It showed Erin sleeping from the side, most likely in an inn from the decorum of the room. A seed of doubt begins to form in Mike's mind. "If you really are Cole...how...why are you even here? After all these years? Why show up seemingly out of nowhere?" "Dad showed you the day too, didn't he? That's why you tried to stop me. But it's also why you failed. That day will happen no matter what you do." Cole points at the screen that shows Mike's body. "So if you ever want to see your friend again, I'm going to need that." Mike blinks. "Need what?" "The thing that's keeping you alive right now. I want your powers, brother."
  18. Mike lays down on the other side of the large bed, facing upwards. He places his hands behind his head and closes his eye.
