  1. It's rather weird that there are 10 of everything in Roshar and then we get 5 sets of immortal words.
  2. We do know there were surges or their equivalents involved, but not who and how they did it.
  3. I've had this theory for a while and I hope I can properly articulate it here so I get people's opinion on it. I got his idea mainly from two places: 1) At the end of book 2 the listeners, after becoming what I assume are Regals and attaining a form of power related to lightning, start singing in unison to summon the Everstorm. 2) Rlain and several others mention something they name "the song of Roshar" and that they, as Parsh, attune themselves to some aspect of it. Rlains comments lead us to think that humans can feel it too. These two things together led me to believe that Singers, when using any form, could unite together could sing to manipulate Roshar and apply whatever their form is associated with to a much larger scale. This could potentially be how the Dawncities were created and how Shinovar was terraformed, a huge group of singers using either one form of power or a mixture of them got together and sang. I find the whole concept of the song of Roshar or hearing Roshar as Rlain says very interesing and I hope get more tidbits about this in the next book focused on Venli.
  4. I think I didn't explain myself very well, I know it was an unmade, but I wanted to know if it was acting on his own or not, since acting specifically on the Davar household and not the whole area or Jah Keved sounds weird.

    Passion

Since the shattering could have been used to produce other different shards it could be that Passion os one of those possibilities that was split among other shards too.
  6. I always assumed cultivation magic was fabrials/parsh gemhearts and that the fused are using Odium corrupted fabrial magic.
  7. Do you guys think there among the 16 shards there's a subgroup of them that are considered Passion shards? This WoB [Apparently I can't link the Arcanum] made me think that maybe passion is some sort of shared attribute among some "subtype" among the shards. I don't know how what the Stormfather said about Odium not having a monopoly on passion fits here, since Honor had it but then apparently lost it. Maybe the phrase "I am what makes men men" when labeling himself as Passion is important here too? Since shards can't really be considered human anymore could Passion be something keeping them from fully becoming their intent? I don't think so since Ruin seemed pretty far lost in his intent, but who knows. WoB in question Valhalla Ruin and Odium, they both talked about their passion, and it was italicized both times. Would any other Shards talk about passion in that same italicized way? Brandon Sanderson Yes they would. Valhalla Would any of them not talk about it that way? Brandon Sanderson Yes. Excellent, good questions.
  8. If you could ask Brandon one and only one question about the Stormlight Archive what would it be? Let's make a thread where each of us posts a question to ask Brandon and why we want to ask that specific question. For the sake of the thread we'll make it so it can't be too spoilery or super specific question, think for example about the questions asking for Kaladin's grandparents/extended family. No huge direct spoilers, just stuff you'd either like to know or would support/unmake your pet theories. Let's also assume the answer Bradon gives isn't going to be a RAFO to throw us off and that he doesn't use the wiggle room we left him not to answer as intended. I've always been unreasonably suspicious of Pattern in general and Shallan's past specifically, so my question would be "Was Odium intentionally manipulating the Davar household with a purpose in mind?" The fact that we didn't learn much about how Shallan became a radiant was very suspicious to me and I'd like to know if Odium was personally involved or it was "just" an unmade getting attracted to something there (what something though?).
