agreed there is some justifcation im simply calling into the question if nightbloods absorbtion works the same way as drawing in enough power to ascend we dont know and if it is different it might not allow him to ascend persay but he might get the power because atleast this word of brandon implies its akin to a hyper powered form of savantism an we have no clue if nightblod can achieve this said savantism but when it comes down to it we dont know becuase if nightblood can ascend is an rafo Oudeis16 We've seen people Ascend. thats really interesting im honestly curious about this now it could be an interesting situation with dalinar being an intemediary between nightblood and the stormfather this makes me wonder what the stormfather would think of nightblood his stance of not being a shardblade and not wanting dalinar to use a dead blade are quite obvious his feelings on nightblood would be fascinating to see

blood sealing is extremely simler to forgery in its form the nature of its effect comes from the seal a skeletal is basically sticking magic into a body and threw the shape of the seal telling it how to act animal bones also work but are less capable of following some orders and the onyt other real things we know about blood sealing is the ability to place a blood seal on an object which makes immune to being effected by forgery and the stamp used to place a blood seal doesnt have to be made from bone and we know blood sealing is very ritualistic but not all of these rituals are useful Bluebar Is there any requirement for how [a Bloodseal] is made, like location, like where the seal comes from? yeah the progession of the bond could definatley have some broader implcations on the clash an if it was an honorblade that struck nightblood there could be some terryfying implications if either is damaged we dont know exactly which has more investiture in this situation but based on this word of brandon the one with more power would win even though this was referring to another nightblood style entity lets assume the same logic applies and this other wob says if azures blade strikes nightblood something terible would occur if we apply the same logic to an honorblade in this senario it would not be good leaving wichever weapon that has more investiture better off this other word of brandon dos say shardblades do even the playing field to some degree Questioner I assume I'm going to learn a lot more about this in Stormlight 3 but Nightblood, is he more dangerous or less dangerous now that he-- obviously he needs Investiture that is why *audio obscured* any Investiture? i can definatly see several interesting ways that could play out i wonder how wyndle would feel about it though espically since nightblood nearly killed lift once before

your welcome as for shardplate the answer is the same we will have to wait and see but at the very least its probably going to react like if it was hit with a shardblade or honorblafe and take 2 hits to break i imagine that something more would happen but for now baseing the interaction off of what happens with the other 2 kinds of shardblades is our best bet

simple answer we dont know yet from a few words of brandon we know that a shard blade cant cut him but what would happen to the shard blade we dont know nightblood can eat spren though and nightblood has way more investiture so it would do something Questioner What would happen if a Shardblade hit Nightblood? this is me simple wondering what other people expect or want to see related to or involving nighblood in rythm of war it can be anything from character interactions mechanical concepts like nightblood hiitng shard plate for example any other big wants or expectations are allowed as well im just curious to hear what i want to see is how szeths new spren reacts to nightblood

id have to say syl and wyndle are my favorites normally but no one beats my abosotute favorite pattern hes just amazing and he is a celebrity acording to him i find the nightwacther as a fun concept but not really a favorite to me and im half way expecting someone to say nightblood in response to this doubt that counts because nightboods kind of his own wierd thing

yeah and the fused already know his sheath can block him so theyd just get some aluminum armor wich would repel shard blades and night blood

the mists themsleves are kind off just there not exaclty sure if they count as kinetic meaning there doing something youd defintatly get a bronze pulse when it snaps someone or some one draws them in though although back to the high storm doesnt really seem to be much of a point to try and detect it with bronze its like trying to find a hurricane with a flash light in the dark youd defintly notice would be usueful to find out if its invested i suppose maybe could detect it a day or a few early depending on the allomancers range

yeah the command is definatly needes but your intent on how you want it to act is really important so simlpy saying act like shard plate would be unnecesary you have it grant benefits simler to shard plate with a much simpler command wheter it would crack and shatter if hit with a shard blade is probably a perception thing since its so invetsed the shard balde should bounce of but if intent is so important you might make it act to much like shardplate for your own good if its given the ability to regenetrate like shard plate you might get an absorbtion problem similer to nightblood albeit it could go tfhe nightblood route and be way stronger than normal shard plate which could have some interesting results jet black armor leaking black smoke composed of corroded breaths is a pretty cool image but theres no way to tell if its color would change like nightblood did

welcome to the shard you should probably move this over the stormlight archive since it only has to deal with that but i hope you have a good time i mentioned this in another thread but if i could make my own they would be called the mist guard with a bonded mistpren granting the surges of adhesion and divison with a resonance of a corrosive green fog that drains vitality for your full bringers they wouldd need a set of 2 of the ten pre existing surges id say tension and progression to grant you the resonance of the bodily enhancement youd also need a form of spren to bond as well

i mean ruin is also similer cultivation both having an underlying theme of change one towards growth the other decay

how good are you at futuresight and if you have any splinters what are they and what do they do

to be fair hes based on shard blades which seem to nigh indestructable and is confirmed to have a very high melting point so thats probably a side effect of how he was awakened but we havent seen another confirmed type iv so could be either or he was stained black when awakended so his physical structure was definatly changed atleast a little could you even sharpen nightblood anyway hed just turn whatever tools you use to smoke NeedsAdjustment What's Nightblood's melting point? so a sentient im assuming suit of armor that can be controlled from a distance because if its anything like nightblood it could hear your thoughts interesting what would you be picturing mentally at the time specfially and would it change the material properties of the armor oh and for fun if you could use it with any kind of fabrial what would you use

lets assume all objects in this scenario are type iv for simplicity back to the indivdual pieces being dificult because it requires more breath thats why i went with a shield in human shape to take less breath and if we allow using fabrials with these awakened objects what fun combinations could you make also since well assume these items are atleast sentient why not name them too

it would likely act as a bunch of diffrent awakened objects although longer commands are probaly gonna take more breath i do like the idea of the shade/surge of divison gauntlets withering gauntlets
