(This is going to be really informal and paraphrased I'm sorry in advance) Okay SO (I'm going from page 43 after your last RP post) Valzwyn and Minuet ran towards Feldspar's tower and Val was like "hey, that's my master's stuff!" and the looters were like "lol no it's ours now" so she got mad and they started fighting. Orpheus was also there? (I don't think Knight was online for the fight). Meanwhile Ara sees the fighting and is like "no stop guys don't fight" and kind of goes into panic mode while Avocado does a really bad job of trying to console her. Then Cara comes and actually consoles her, while Ren watches everything go down from a distance. The looters are driven off. 

TA introduces a new character, Sef Owlson, Feldspar's librarian, who greets Val and has Feldspar's will. Once the fighting is all done Minuet comes to get everyone else so they can all go to the tower together. Xeus is like "hey Sef you got any books on prophecies and history? I need to read them because the world is ending" so they're going to the library together. I think everyone else is standing outside the tower, except for Val who's running around feeling nostalgic. 

I think the plan is to set up the tower as a base, have some downtime and character interaction, and then a dragon shows up maybe after a day or so? 

“Er, do you think we can go inside?” Avren asked the group standing outside the tower.

*he starts breakdancing as a bunch of skeleton backup dancers unearth themselves from the ground*  

*a disco floor and strobe lights suddenly appear courtesy of Ara’s runes* 

*Cara whips out a DJ turntable she got from somewhere and starts playing music*

*most of the party members are confused but they join in and start dancing too*

*some dragons show up and join as well because why not*

*Gal starts writing notes about these unconventional uses for magic* 

*Talnic watches from the corner, hiding a faint smile beneath his scarf, until the party pressures him to join in*

*Exodus is defeated and the realms go back to normal by the power of the dance party*

this is how the RP is going to end and no I do not take constructive criticism

If I could draw I would definitely draw this, but alas.

Avren gave Ara a small nod and followed her and Cara down the hill towards the tower. The looters were retreating, much to his relief. Only a few dead, which wasn't thrilling, but it was better than he had initially expected. 

A fresh wave of panic washed over him as he remembered the dead-but-not-dead man, and realised he could no longer sense him. Maybe... maybe that meant he'd left? No, of course he wouldn't have. Avren did have to admit, however, that the man's behaviour was a little erratic. Appearing to the group one moment and then vanishing the next? What could it mean?

Also I went ahead and assumed that a handful of people died if that's all right. I can always retcon it if need be. I may or may not need the dead bodies for something

Avren turned to look as shouts erupted from the base of the hill, his fears momentarily forgotten. It was a whirlwind of fighting, and he could see Val, Minuet and Orpheus right in the middle of it all. 

“I’m sorry, I... should go,” he said to Xeus, before dashing down the hill. Halfway down, he began to slow. What could he even do? He couldn’t fight like that, and — Ara.

He ran the rest of the way down to her, fighting to ignore his growing nausea at the rising death count. That was a problem for later. 

As he reached her, he hesitated. How was he supposed to help? He’d spent most of his recent life avoiding people, not comforting them. Ara stared straight ahead at the fighting, though her eyes seemed distant. 

“Um, Ara?” He asked, feeling foolish. Why couldn’t he do anything to help? “Are you okay?”

Maybe he wants to do it in secret. He’ll say it was an accident. Or maybe he’s waiting for everyone to be together...

He probably went off to tell someone.

It was only a matter of time now.

Why is he looking at me? Avren glanced away, and was relieved when Ara began to introduce herself. This newcomer wasn’t as terrifying as the transparent one, but Avren had gathered too much attention for one day. 

Still focused on the transparent man, his thoughts kept spinning around, before landing on a single question. It repeated over and over in his mind.

How does he know? How does he know? How does he know?

Avren jumped, shocked back into the moment by Ara’s voice. When had she approached him?

“I-I’m...” He took in a breath. He had to keep up appearances. “I’m... all right. Just some unpleasant memories.” It wasn’t completely a lie. 

The panic within him only grew louder though, beating like a second heartbeat. Should he leave? No, they would catch him, and it would be too suspicious. The only thing he could do was go forwards.

“We should probably see what’s going on,” he said to Ara, and began to walk towards the group, even though everything inside him screamed to run.

Avren flinched when the should-be-dead man looked his way. He took an involuntary step back, boots crunching in the snow. There was something knowing in that man’s gaze, something that distilled itself into a single thought that sent ice through Avren’s veins.

If — no — when this man joined them, he’d tell the others. Why wouldn’t he? He’d tell them and Avren would die. He ducked behind a tree, struggling to control his breathing. He saw the Shadow pointing his sword at him, hatred burning in his eyes. He saw his parents, their expressions distant as they ignored his pleas. He saw Dariya, stony-faced as she ordered him out of the tavern and onto the street. 

It had been a mistake to come on this journey. And now he would pay the price. 

Avren watched the Shadow and Orpheus head into the trees. He bit back a pang of jealously at their skills. They had probably spotted a new companion, or a new threat. 

Still, he was curious, and began to follow them at a distance. When he caught up, a man stood in the snow, looking frightened. At a closer glance, he appeared transparent. 

Avren narrowed his eyes, noticing something else. His senses told him that this man was dead, so why was he standing right in front of him?
