  1. And beneath his face was... (Ninjas sliced away at Salad in the background)
  2. Who had come to steal all of the snacks from the funeral.
  3. Unbeknownst to the fighters, two workers were bringing in coffins for the funeral.
  4. They could not get past the sheer number of bread rolls. It was a shardblade-Subway sandwich.
  5. ONLY ONE THING STOOD IN THEIR WAY (much ninja’d is occurring )
  6. Salad threw tomatoes at any ninja that came near them.
  7. Salad nodded, and promptly threw the cake they had just baked into a fire. “Is that dead enough?”
  8. Salad asked Ene and Luna whether they, as ghosts, were able to eat, and therefore whether food should be prepared for them as well.
  9. Salad agreed, and offered to help X with the rest of the funeral planning as well.
  10. Salad asked if they could do anything to help for the funeral.
  11. Randomness . I don’t think the people who come here often even fully know. We were adding *wins* to book titles, and it kind of evolved into... whatever’s going on now.
  12. I really really love the smell of books for some reason. People have caught me opening books and sniffing them more times than I’d like to admit. They have an oddly comforting smell. Certain books smell a certain way, and they can evoke specific memories and feelings. For example, my copy of The Final Empire smells a certain way, and I can’t describe it because it just smells like The Final Empire. But I can open my copy, take a sniff, and all a sudden I’m just hit with this wave of emotions and memories and nostalgia and it’s so distinctly The Final Empire, and I’m remembering all of my favourite moments and these little details. It’s like a time capsule. This generally only applies to books I own that I’ve already read, but sometimes I’ll open a new book and think “huh, this book smells like this other book that I’ve read before”. (Only the memories part. I still really like the smell of new books that I haven’t read, I just don’t have any memories associated with them yet.) Don’t even get me started on the smell of libraries. (I also like the scent of freshly baked bread, and of cooking food in general)
  13. I haven’t even been here for a year, but this community is one that I love being a part of. The forum game threads are just bundles of explosive randomness and they never fail to make me smile. Honestly, the reason I’ve stayed around for this long is because of the people here. This is probably an unpopular opinion on the Shard, but Brandon’s not actually my favourite author. I like his books, don’t get me wrong, and he was my favourite author at one point, but I’ve lost some interest in his work. (This is hard for me to explain because I still plan to keep up with the cosmere, and of course I’m going to read RoW when it comes out, but I’m not as invested as I used to be, if that makes sense.) I joined the Shard on a whim, and probably would’ve gotten bored and left if I didn’t stumble across the Forum Games section. I found TLPW and stayed there for a while, before moving to the rest of the threads. Also special thanks to @R J for inviting me to Take A Deep Breath in my intro thread, because even though it died and it was only for a short while, I had so much fun RPing. This is random but when I found the Shard for the first time, there was this massive (friendly) argument about toilet paper going on. I got spoiled by some Mistborn threads and decided I wouldn’t return until I had caught up with the cosmere, but the memory of that thread resurfaces from time to time.
  14. I don’t know if this is the one Truthless was referring to, but I was referring to this one. There were about seven mods on it when I was reading through it.
  15. I think I was on that thread too. *shivers in fear*
  16. *starts singing very badly*
