Aerith had anticipated this, and just before Kade managed to catch him, Aerith jumped up, spun around in a three-sixty, hurled a fireball, then landed facing forwards again and kept running.

"I don't want you to be in pain." "Hey Jay?" Janice asks, pointing at Sophie. "Who's that?"

Aerith continued his barrage, then watched Chorale running away. That had been the goal... perhaps it was time to stop his offense? He hurled one last fireball at Kade and booked for the cave exit.

"Right? I've been wondering if magical plants could work..."

"What's wrong with curry? Curry's delicious!"

"Ollivander's father was known to use Kelpie hair, and Salazar Slytherin had a Basalisk fang in his. I also heard a rumor the core for the Elder Wand was a Threstal Hair."

Aerith sends fireball after fireball in a barrage, his aim and ferocity unmatched. He grunts in exertion as he hurls dozens of fireballs at Kade, sweat beading on his brow.

"Okay, madam," Fadran says in an exaggeratedly annoyed tone, handing her the cider. He sits down beside her, "I was thinking about making curry for dinner tonight."

"Alright! So, my seventeeth cousin eight times removed Garrick Ollivander only uses Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Tail Hair, and Phoenix Feathers for wand cores. He claims that those are the most powerful of the cores, and while that may be correct, they certainly aren't the only possible cores. When I take the business, though, I want to stop using only those three and use other, more controversial cores for wands, because I think that... well... you know how the wand is unique to the witch or wizard? What if somebody doesn't have their perfect match? What if their wand isn't right, because they don't have the right core? What kind of cores are there? I seriously want to know what other things people can use in wands!"

Aerith jumps out of the way, kicking a fireball at Kade as he passes.

"Heck yes! Hang on; I'll serve up the cider." Fadran pours out a cup for everyone.

Aerith hurled more fire at the airborne Kade, using the leopard's predictable momentum to aim.

"Well, I guess I'll practice more often, then." She pulled a shrunken notebook out of her pocket. "Hey, can I rant about something?"

"You're going to be alright, though. You're going to be just fine."

Aerith created more fireballs, combining them all into one long pillar of flame that he shot at Kade.
