"Let's go with the five-person."
-
A hallway of corpses strewn out behind her, Trace kept walking. The house was on fire now; pity, it would probably help hide the evidence. Before pushing through what looked like the door to the master bedroom, Trace fingered her dagger. She had no idea what lay inside. She tried waiting for her power to build, but that proved to be annoying. Trace flipped over her dagger, took a breath, then stabbed it into her arm. She screamed in pain, but it seemed to do the trick. It took even more willpower just to pull it out, though; blood, pent up behind the knife blade, spilled out onto the floor. After that, it streamed down steadily, leaving her arm red. Power stored, Trace was ready to go. She pushed open the door. Two guards were the only defenses. They were dead in seconds; one by her dagger, the other by a burst of power to the chest. So she didn’t need to do all that preparation. She healed herself by blowing the wall clean off, letting in a crisp breeze that contrasted the fire building up throughout the house. A terrified-looking man clutched a sword, shivering a nightgown and shaking uncontrollably. “You did this?” He demanded. “You’re just a child!” Trace retrieved her dagger, walking forwards calmly. “The body I’m in is, sure. I’m closer to a thousand years old.” The man was quiet for a moment, then said, “you’re here for me?” “Yep. Any last words?” He yelled what sounded like a battle cry, running at Trace. He swung his sword awkwardly; an attack easily dodged. It still grazed her arm, though, leaving a thin line of blood imperceivable against the red already there. He stumbled forwards, and Trace held out her dagger for him to fall into. He gasped, clutching his chest and coughing up blood. The nobleman didn’t scream; it seemed that he wasn’t capable of doing so. He just fell over, coughing a few more times before going quiet. With the house burning behind her, Trace hopped out the hole in the wall. She might’ve dislocated her ankle by the fall, but she healed herself of any wounds she might’ve received by releasing another burst of power behind her, shattering a modest portion of the house. The small cut the nobleman had given her was still there, however; curious. Trace walked over to where Cruz had been standing, looking around to try and spot him. While she waited, she grabbed a mostly unburnt curtain from the house, using it to soak up the blood covering her arms. “Cruz?” She asked. “Assassin guy?”

"Hey, Aria. Be nice to Vapor!" Fadran passed Vapor a cup.

"Probably. What would you suggest?"

Ellis followed, sparing a confused glance at Q.

"Flying squid."

"We have three people and a squid."

"We... need a tent." Ellis repeated.

Three guards came running from either side of the hall. She threw her dagger at one, striking him in the heart. She ran towards the other two, propelling herself through the air with a burst of force. She flew past them, dropping orbs of force to smack into them as she passed. They flew backwards, hitting the back wall; dazed, but very much alive. Trace triggered the orb of force, blowing their innards and killing them both. The qhoral dagger reappeared in her hand, and she kept running. She turned a corner, finding herself in a lobby-like room, with a cozy hearth burning in the corner. The room was devoid of people, the only sound coming from the fire. She waited for a few seconds, letting the pain grow worse. Blood trickled down her arms, and she kept her teeth tight against the pain. Feeling that she had enough power, she released it in a concentrated ball on the fireplace. She blew it, sending burning chunks of wood everywhere and collapsing the ceiling. The carpet began to smoke, and eventually lit on fire. Perfect. She ran to the hole, propelling herself upwards with another burst of force and landing on the second floor. Guards were running at her from all sides, some looking confused, others brandishing spears. Crap. Maybe she should’ve waited and stored some of her power before jumping back into action. Regardless, she clutched her dagger and ran at the foremost guard. She dodged past his spear to the side, pulling her dagger across his throat as she did so. She maintained her momentum, thrusting the knife into the next guard’s chest. He fell with a scream, taking her dagger with him. The next stabbed at her with his spear. There wasn’t much force put into it, so it just slid off her armor. It fell into her shoulder, though, cutting deep. Trace screamed, hand leaping to the wound as the guard pulled his spear out. Blood leaked through her grip, forming a stream down her arm. “That was a mistake.” She growled. Trace released her power, creating a massive explosion centered around herself. The guards flew around, and the floor caved in. She managed to grab onto what was left of it, hanging on by one arm as the rest crashed to the floor. She quickly lost her grip, though, falling down herself. Trace was back up with another burst to propel herself soon, though. Maybe she should’ve looked into doing some push-ups.

"Okay. About that." Fadran gestured to his suitcase. "It's mandatory for the Fadran Special to include all the fix in's. However, you're allowed to have extras on exactly three of them. You add those three first, and then the rest. I'm personally going extra-creamy, extra-caramel, and extra-candy-cane-y." He dropped the three fix-in's to his cocoa, then added sprinkles, marshmallows, and a pinch of cinnimon.

"A... what accent?" Fadran waved his hand dismissively. "Whatever. As you might have noticed, the chocolate is successfully stirred."

Fadran read it over her shoulder. "Tom Holland? Who the heck is that?"

"Then go with that! I'm, personally, going with a very specific person." Fadran began writing in his chocolate. "Q... U... Double E... N."

Trace took a step back, gauging the house’s walls. After a few seconds, she began striding forwards purposefully. She activated her suit, grunting at the pain. A couple guards looked up as she approached. One of them gripped his spear warily, but the other let down his guard. “Hey, kid. What’s the matter? It’s real late; are you lost?” Trace released her pain, sending invisible orbs of pure force at the guards. The orbs burst inside their chests, shattering the ribs and killing them both instantly. They fell without even screaming. With that, she pulled against the doorknob frantically. “Help! Help! The people out here! They’re not okay!” After a few seconds of rattling the door, someone poked their head out. Their sleepy, dazed expression quickly turned to shock as they rushed out to check on the guards. Trace slipped in through the door, sending another orb of force to slay the third person. A guard came running down the hallway, hand groping for his sword. “Hey, what’s going on out there?” He pushed past Trace, but found a knife in his back. With a gasp and a scream, he began to fall over. Trace pulled her dagger out, letting a drop of blood fall onto the carpet. There were shouts, now. Time for the fun to begin.

Fadran rolled his eyes. "Sure you don't have a crush. Not a single one."

"Well, first you need to stir it with a candy cane." Fadran pulled out a couple, handing one to Aria. "After that, you need to stir it three times clockwise, three times counter-clockwise, then stir it to write the name of your crush."

Fadran dumped a modest portion of chocolate mix into her cup, then thought for a moment and added a similar amount to his. "Do you know the proper method to stirring?"

"Looks like you got it. How much chocolate do you think you need?"

"Yep. In order to add the correct amount of chocolate you need, you need to close your eyes and imagine just how delicious it's going to be."

"Well... I mean, we could try to make you the Channelknight of Ivinan, but no guarantees on how successful that'd be." The milk started steaming, and Fadran extinguished his hands. "Great! Nice and hot. Next step: chocolate!"
