  1. "Very well. What services are you having them do?"
  2. "These are veins of qhoral corrupting my Veil. They've been there since I was three, when the Queen made me into a yevon."
  3. Janice looked back up, then ran her finger along the largest vein on her face. "What do you think this is?"
  4. "I really don't know how it works. I didn't even know it was an Aspect until a few days ago. I thought it was a curse from the Queen, not a gift." Janice looked down at the qhoral veins running over her hand. "So I don't really know how powerful it is given any amount of pain... though maybe I should've figured that nothing you would do could kill you. It took a lot of pain in to..." She trailed off. "Anyways, I guess... I guess I'm just not really much of a fighter yet."
  5. Alright. Fadran Forged a Bond to the thing in his head. The thing about having a multiverse is that magic doesn't always carry over. Fortunately, there are ways to fix this. He began pulling the identity of Remembrance into the physical plane. You have to consider whether or not magic is coming from a source into a person, of if it's within the person themself. For example, for Allomancy, the Investiture isn't found in the metals; the metals are used as a conduit for the Investiture. Outside of the Cosmere, I doubt it would work. Fadran Bonded Remembrance to the physical world. When it comes to Divinity such as from my universe, though... that's imbedded in the person. I can take it wherever I want. With all the preparations in place, he began to pull. Another thing to consider are shared properties. Things like connections are shared between lots of kinds of magic--Investiture, Spirit Bonds, and whatever it is you're using. All you have to do is account for the slight differences between the systems and... Fadran let out a grunt and pulled Remembrance into the physical realm.
  6. Well, I'd be the one doing the pulling. Fadran shook out his hands. And I'd be using a magical property that we seem to share: connections.
  7. "Well I didn't want to kill you!"
  8. Fadran thought about that for a moment. What do you think would happen if you could access this plane of existence?
  9. Janice, being Janice, did nothing to guard. She tried throwing a weak punch at his face, but couldn't tell if she'd hit or not. Instead, she found herself collapsing to the ground under Corwin's weight.
  10. "Hey, don't worry kiddo." Ayia grabbed Tvora's arm; as best should could, anyways. "I'm sure it's fine. Maybe this is a normal Cosmere thing."
  11. Janice let out a sigh and cautiously mimicked whatever Corwin was doing. She probably looked ridiculous, though.
  12. Yikes. I almost half-understood that first part. Fadran scratched his head. Do you think you could find whatever it is, Remembrance?
  13. Fadran smiled. I'm well aware that you're curious. I can tell. I'm Fadran. Do you have a name? He looked around at the fading color. And are you the one doing this?
  14. Janice concentrated her power—her pain—into a tiny, invisible sphere hovering just between her palms. She’d never really done this on purpose before, but it felt natural; to an extent, anyways. She grunted and hurled the bead of force at Corwin, detonating it inches from his chest.
  15. The weight of T’s mind left his. Alex almost asked why, but shut himself up when he saw the soldiers come around the bushes. He squeezed T’s hand as a reminder to stay absolutely still. The soldier came around the bush and stared right at them. But saw nothing.
  16. Ivian sat up and glared. “This had better be good.
  17. Janice flew across the floor, tumbling over herself as she crashed down five feet away. She grunted, but didn’t cry: she’d grown quite tolerant of pain recently. Her nose was bleeding, though, and it felt a little broken. With a grunt she pulled herself to her feet. “Kay. I’ll do my best to not kill you.”
  18. "I know you have powers, but so do I and basically everyone else here. They don't make you invincible, no matter how much you think they do."
