  1. Nameless glanced over at Mythos. "Well, does that mean you're the Witherlord's enemy? How about you go attack him? I'm sure you can take him."
  2. Nameless grunted distractedly. "And who would that be?"
  3. Nameless glanced up at him. "For Moni? Many things." He glanced back down. "If she can finish the survey, she'll live."
  4. Nameless ignored the exchange. "I have to do something. But what can I do? Thaidakar made a deal, could I do that?"
  5. Nameless nodded distractedly. "He did. But none of them should have been able to kill him."
  6. "Then something else wanted him to." Faster than a heartbeat. Nameless finally found Moni. His face paled.
  7. Nameless stared for a moment. "He didn't want to keep his bargain, I suppose. Either that or he was wanted dead by... a higher power." Nameless rolled his eyes. "His name isn't Withy anymore. Withy was the last host. This one's named something else." Seven times eight is fifty-six. A single heart can last for upwards of one-hundred years.
  8. I... 57, I suppose. Moni's hand trembled slightly.
  9. Nameless frowned. "What do you mean you don't think it's the Witherlord? I guess it is a different host. Does the Witherlord keep the memories of past hosts?" He shook his head, walking away from Mythos. "This doesn't matter in any case. I need to find Moni."
  10. Because if I don't, he'll kill my friends. Nameless ignored Afterimage. "Mythos, who are you trying to prove stuff to? the Witherlord's probably been in CBST more than TLT."
  11. Nameless groaned. "Why can't you just leave me alone? I'm trying to find my avatar, and the last thing I need is some underdeveloped character like you coming along to ruin it." I'm answering questions from the Witherlord while wrapped up in spiky vines. Nameless shook his head. "Why did you want to do that again? and who kicked you back?"
  12. Nameless sighed. Then he fed Afterimage to the quarkbeast. Mythos didn't need an avatar, at least not one that was completely underdeveloped.
  13. Nameless glanced after him. "Hm. Hopefully he doesn't have a grudge against... Hey, where's Moni?" He looked around in confusion.
  14. Moni glanced at her worriedly. "Could you stop that? I'm answering your questions. There's no need to hurt my friends." I don't know what a luxsprite is.
  15. Nameless shook his head disapprovingly. "You shouldn't try to break into CBST."
  16. Nameless shook his head and pet the quarkbeast absently.
  17. Nameless shrugged. "It's an alternate universe."
  18. Nameless offered the quarkbeast a nice chunk of Lerasium. Nameless nodded. "Yep. TLPW is a completely separate universe, and fairly close to TLT. It's fairly easy to travel there, at least. The easiest multiverse to travel to is tst. I've been there, and one of X's avatars is probably still there, come to think of it. tst contains the 'world of dreams', the afterlife for some. Other universes that are close-ish are CBST and The Linear Thread. The Witherlord's been in CBST for certain, and I believe withergeists have been in The Linear Thread. Those universes are more difficult to travel to than tst or TLPW, as they're much more ordered, but both of them have characters that originated here."
  19. Nameless waved a hand dismissively. "You aren't really leaving our universe. You're just expanding it like narrators do normally. TLT contains many universes, but most of them aren't separate. Take the Wanderer for example. She explores alternate universes, but hasn't ever left TLT. So I guess that makes TLT a multiverse, which the Witherlord has technically left before."
  20. Nameless shook his head. "I highly doubt that Thaidakar's right. I'm not copied across the multiverse. And your multiverse is a pretty pathetic one if everything's mostly the same. I've been to actual alternate dimensions, and they're... very different from TLT. Some of them, at least."
  21. Nameless shook his head. "Making fake copies of me won't work. The Witherlord isn't mirrored across the multiverse." He waved a hand somewhat sadly and obliterated the fake of himself.
  22. I don't think they have anywhere near the technology to get that far, and they're a lot more isolated than Japan. They have to figure out consistent cognitive realm travel, how to get investiture out of their system, and they have to weaponize their investiture. That'll take a while, and it's much more likely that their high-potential magic system will be manipulated by more advanced civilisations.
  23. "Yeah. That's incredibly easy to do. true interdimensional travel is way harder. Withergeists already do what you can do."
  24. That is possible, but I'm guessing they're a bit too late in the timeline. They're probably around MB era 3-4, meaning they're greatly underdeveloped compared to Roshar/Scadrial.
