    Moni gasped, coughing up blood and collapsing to the ground.

    Moni smashed the sledgehammer down with a satisfying crunch.

    Moni ignored him, raising her sledgehammer again.

    "That's exactly what you'd say if I was about to escape." Nameless stared at the shifting maze of corridors. "Well, I'm sure Moni's having fun with this."

    Moni glared at him. "Who are you?" "They can dampen my connection to Moni to the point that I can't pinpoint her location enough to bring myself there, but if you think you can bring me close, go ahead."

    Unfortunately, he'd appeared right as she was swinging her sledgehammer at the wall in front of her. Nameless considered. "I'm not certain it would work. Their defenses might keep me out, as a narrator."

    "I already know that. I just can't get there. The Quarkbeast can travel in ways that I can't." Nameless spoke up loudly. "The universe wasn't destroyed by the Withergeists when you weren't around, you know. It got along just fine without you."

    Nameless shrugged. "I don't know what help you can give, but sure. Do you have some way to find Moni?" Nameless considered the fact that Thaidakar was definitely exaggerating. He'd only attacked him like ten times at most, not millions. And he'd had good reasons.

    Nameless sighed, opening his eyes. "Sorry Alek, doesn't look like it's working. Don't pay any attention to Thaidakar, he just hates me for some reason."

    Meanwhile, Nameless was attempting to narrow down Moni's location with the aid of a Bondsmith. He still couldn't manage more than a vague sensation of distance.

    Someone else dodged the blow smoothly. "Not really. It'd be too one-sided to call it a fight. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that I have any weapon that can actually harm you, so I'll pass for now." Someone else perked up. "Really? That's great!" He ran off to find some steel to galvanize.

    "If your fancy sword can't kill an avatar, then it'll have a heck of a time with the Witherlord." someone else twirled his knife absently. "But to answer your question, I'm something else."

    Someone else laughed. "The Witherlord must have gotten a lot weaker if that weapon could do anything to him."

    Someone else coughed, standing up and shaking his head. "As if I could die like that. Young people these days. Honestly."

    Someone else considered this. Then he shook his head. "Nah, I think I'll keep trying."

    Someone else stared back at him. "Why would I tell you my name? You'd just kill me with it."

    Someone else was even more horrified, but his name wasn't Someone else, someone Else, or someone else, so he kept stabbing Thaidakar's original character.

    Someone else was horrified by this genocide. However, his name wasn't Someone Else, so he had the opportunity to stab Thaidakar's original character in the back with his favorite knife.

    Someone else was sad that Someone else had died, but fortunately he was someone else, and thus escaped. He snuck up behing Thaidakar's original character and knocked him unconscious with a truncheon.

    Someone else grabbed the sword and sprinted away.

    Moni fed it the ruined hacksaw, staring through the hole it had chewed Someone else smacked Thaidakar. "Come on man, pay attention. This could be the answer I've been looking for!" He adressed the mysterious voice. "Do you think the Darkbeast knows what a quarkbeast's favorite food is?"

    Moni smiled, hefting the sledgehammer and preparing to strike.

    Moni motioned towards the pack on her back, then pulled out a sledgehammer.
