    "Hey @Thaidakar the Ghostblood, still want to try negotiating?" Nameless grinned. "Might not go too well."

    Except for the times when they had. Continuity considered retiring.

    "Showoff." Nameless created a cushion of air to cushion his landing, glaring up at the darkness surrounding him. "Where's the Nethergrim?"

    The ninjas were so determined to do their job that they started breaking Continuity.

    They were determined to do their job well, as Rond had promised to give them an object of incredible power...

    As it turned out, Rond had realized that people would come after him, and hired the ninjas to stop any prospective assassins. The captured 'Rond' turned out to be an animus-magic disabling explosive.

    And so a new quest began: The hunt for Rond.

    Nameless grabbed the book and ripped it to pieces. "You don't need this. Just go crazy. Godmod, destroy universes, make new ones, whatever you want."

    The same one that Nameless would have given: Kill Rond before he destroyed TLT.

    Fortunately, Nameless had one. A dangerous criminal by the name of Rond was loose on the Thread, and no one knew what dastardly deeds he was planning.

    It had been the point. Partially.

    Nameless picked up the cello and played Rush E.

    "What? The button? It's just a figurative thing. Doesn't actually do anything, see?" Nameless pushed the button.

    Nameless put down the big red button. For the moment.

    Nameless considered activating his contingency plan.

    Moni quickly hid the Crolings so that the Quarkbeast couldn't eat them.

    Moni shrugged. "Maybe Crolings eat haddock?"
  22. NameIess
    Nameless appeared to pat Calano on the shoulder. "Don't worry pal, we all get tired sometimes."

    Meanwhile, Moni had brought all the Crolings back to Nameless' house, which had once again somehow survived the destruction of the universe. "Don't worry little guys, I'll take care of you."

    Moni stood up, arms still full of Crolings. "Did everyone die again? I hate it when that happens."

    Nameless had just enough time to realize what Bookwyrm had done before the massive explosion washed over him and everything faded to black.
