  1. Nin nodded, the asked if the Quarkbeast knew where the chicken had come from.

  5. Nin watched cautiously, hand on the hilt of his sword.
  6. Eof glanced at him, eyes unfocused. "Of course I do. Why don't you?"
  7. Nin looked back at him. "Apprentice, may I ask you a question?"
  8. The discussion mainly centered on whether or not it qualified as a plot twist.
  9. "Yes, farewell." Foe watched Sequence go, satisfied with his manipulations. Then he turned back to AdoKho. Nin, my friend, always so blind.
  10. "Because you are part of the future. The future that only I-and now my alternate-can perfectly see. The prophecy is the result of two people being able to see the future, resulting in unpredictable changes that allow only guesses."
  11. "Well, thank you. Although I only half-made it, as it exists solely because of the conflict between me and my false self's futuresight."
  12. A flash of light appeared in her vision, and it seemed as if a veil had been lifted. Sequence saw beyond the fabric of reality, seeing a fraction of what was not yet Narrated. She saw the words of the prophecy. They were:
  13. "I'm afraid that's impossible. You see, the fabric of the thread would eat the words out of the air even as I say them. I cannot merely tell you, or even give you knowledge of, your parts of the prophecy. All I can do is help you discover it for yourself." Foe reached out his hand again, slowly. "I promise I am not currently attempting to harm you or otherwise do anything to you other than helping you learn the knowledge you seek."
  14. Foe nodded, reaching out and touching Sequence upon the forehead. "This might sting a little."
  15. When there is evidence for something and no evidence against it, that's not a fallacy. It would be a fallacy if there was no evidence either way.
