    Lark stood slowly. "It would appear that I have been too lenient.'' He turned towards the chickens, icy rage evident on his face. "Find the one who did this, and make an example of them."

    Eof smiled, watching Rep's face carefully. "Oh, they're friends all right. No matter how much Rep would deny it."

    Lark collapsed to his knees, tears leaking from his eyes as he sifted through the ashes, searching for any remnant of a surviving book.

    So we can cut back to Eof, Bookwyrm, Rym, Rep, and Impossible. Impossible was being slowly lowered into an oversized woodchipper. Eof's eyes were hard as he glared at Rep. "Tell me Foe's plan, or your friend will die."

    Lark gasped in horror as he entered the library. "Who-who did this?!"

    Lark stalked into his office, slamming the door behind him and sealing it with dimension overseer magic. Bookwyrm was back? And he was hiding somewhere in the clinic. And he had Thaidakar with him. Lark gripped the sides of his desk, taking deep breaths. They'll see. Once my plan is complete, they'll all see. He smiled, looking at the complex blueprints sitting on his desk.

    "You'd better. If you can't get this clinic under control, I'll have to reconsider our deal." Lark tried to storm out of the room, but tripped over one of Darle's chickens and nearly fell over. "And somebody get rid of these blasted things!"

    Eof flipped on the lights of his safehouse. "Alright Rep. Will you talk now? What's Foe's plan?"

    Lark growled, batting out the fire on his hair. "Well, that's all well and good, but what about the fact that your chickens just let Thaidakar get away?"

    Lark smiled casually, turning to the chicken guards that had rushed into the room. "Put him in the prison ward until your king can pick him up for execution." He turned back just in time to see Bookwyrm draggin Thaidakar through the Wyrmhole. "...Blast."

    "Oh, you're still awake? Too bad. By the way, you're fired." Thaidakar's felt a ripping sensation as his staff powers were revoked, causing him to succumb to unconsciousness.

    "Ouch. If only I could do something about this. Oh wait, I can." Thaidakar fell unconscious, collapsing limply to the ground.
