  1. Thank you for the nightmare fuel!
  2. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Investiture#Color_in_Investiture The page mentions that "color is involved with the Metallic Arts in some unknown way" while citing this WoB: I don't think it confirms colour as a part of the Metallic Arts, only part of magic that we see in Mistborn and as such could be referring to Shardic colours or Corrupted red Investiture.
  3. This. It's starting to feel like having a rotating cast of villains, new one per episode! Older ones get killed off (Sadeas, Amaram; Raboniel, Lezian) or don't appear again (Hariel, Hnanan, other OB Fused). It's especially egregious with the Fused, we've basically only had one recurring character with Leshwi. Though it's only been two books, hopefully we'll see the OB Fused again in the next book and it won't just be El taking centre stage (and then getting killed off) P.S. Yeah, Raboniel's pretty awesome
  4. Intriguing... write a fanfic
  5. Okay, so while Lirin's perspective is understandable, the sheer amount of damage he could've done to his own son when he was very vulnerable, disowning him, calling him a monster, telling him to be an obedient slave? That is well past the point of "are we cool yet?". I do not like him and he gets a thumbs down from me, actually he gets some other gesture that Lopen and Rua would approve of but I'll refrain.
  6. Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice the parallels between the Nightwatcher and Sja-Anat!
  7. If that bothers you that much, what do you think about Feruchemical brass and electrum which got switched with one another?
  8. Why is that last character even on this list? Kaves' only appearance was as a corpse, unconfirmed corpse, unmourned by Adolin because he was apparently pretty unlikeable, overly ambitious and power hungry. Actually, while we're at it, why is Aesudan on the list too? As of the end of OB and everything in RoW, it's Adolin for me.
  9. I love your choice of words, Uh what are the chances that Zahel can not only feed his Divine Breath with Stormlight but use it to reach the Heightenings? The Tenth would grant him Mental Command but he doesn't know how to convert Investiture (yet) so... He's probably just using theatrics and misdirections, giving Commands to the clothing while he's unseen, the clothing on his body was likely already Awakened from what we've seen of him in Warbreaker.
  10. It's the logical next step, it fits quite well with the progression of Oaths and all the previous suggestions for this Ideal too: teaching / giving others the tools to protect themselves and delegation. Triage was covered well with the Fourth Ideal.
  11. Just like Cultivation/Taravangian, who's playing who, I'm split on Hoid/Taravangian too. On one hand, it seems a theme of the book that even immortals make mistakes, on the other hand, Hoid could be misdirecting Odium. I mean, at first the epilogue seemed to be Brandon's opinion on writing, lol but yeah it is totally possible that Hoid just misdirected Isshin because otherwise what would be the purpose of him meeting with Odium? It makes sense that Hoid used Breaths to store his memories, it's the easiest Investiture to acquire and integrate but it's also more Physical, more attached to the person than their Spiritweb. Think of it as being welded rather than melded. That's why Breaths are so transferable. Did Hoid really not think of their vulnerability? He has access to a lot of different Invested Arts, and he's quite old and learned, he might have copied his memories over to the Breaths specifically for this purpose.
  12. Hmm... we don't see any hosts of Yelig-Nar using the Surge of Adhesion actually, maybe he can't grant it either and if he can, that might have to do with who he was before he was unmade. Do note that Hessi wasn't sure what powers he granted.
  13. The Scadrian system page https://coppermind.net/wiki/Scadrian_system claims that multiple individuals had held the power of the Well of Ascension before Rashek without any citations. Is this confirmed?
  14. *narrows eyes* is it actually your birthday, xp? *hmm... the date looks more real* Happy Birthday

    1. Experience

      Experience

hehe. I better go change it back. hehe

  15. Oh my, be careful on the forums till you finish those books, especially Mistborn lest you get spoiled!
  16. You've come to the right place
  17. Welcome to the Shard!
  18. It's possible that they do, but wouldn't it be more likely that they'd be represented in Shadesmar within a (tiny, as there are no minds there) area rather than as spren. I think some people theorized the moons are manifested in Shadesmar as the three Nexuses, though that would imply there's something big about the moons. *Cusicesh People have theorised about the possibility of a spren of Roshar. Candidates have included the Sibling (disqualified as Urithiru itself was created during the Silver Kingdoms epoch, the Sibling probably does not predate the Tower-city), Cusicesh the Protector, Ba-Ado-Mishram (yes, her), etc.
  19. Every chapter in the Stormlight book has a chapter header with an icon representing the PoV character and an arch on top of that with the Double Eye of the Almighty and the faces of the Heralds. The Heraldic visages represent thematic elements of the chapter or characteristics of the chapter narrator, while the Double Eye of the Almighty has been present consistently on every arch in every chapter of every book of the Stormlight Archive so far. I wonder if that's about to change with a new Odium on the block. Going forwards, we might see Double Faces of Passion on the chapter arches.
  20. Yeah, I wondered this too, but someone mentioned that the SA game cards also depicted Formless as male. The he/she incongruity has already been mentioned by someone else on the typos thread, in case it actually is a typo, never can be sure with Brandon (looks at Mistborn original trilogy)
  21. Interestingly, that's the very thing about Jasnah that this book seemed to be exploring, her being put on a pedestal by even her family like the awkward Navani hug, Adolin's "Jasnah could've done it"
  22. Welcome to the Shard! What's the saddest Cosmere moment, according to you?
  23. Welcome to the Shard! Do you remember which was the first Cosmere connection you yourself discovered?
  24. A tie but requiring both parties to lose... how would that be possible?
