  1. I can, and I did.
  2. That's litterally what a stakeout is.
  3. John did as he was told, placing the untouched bowl of soup in his lap. "Maybe I should get a flamethrower, or hydrochloric acid. Or something." John said. He wasn't sure where he could get either of those, but he needed something. What if the next group had transporter mystics, or mystics that could turn invisible? How could he defend against that? He was not going to lose another one, not after Saaphir. He had to be ready.
  4. Does that mean if you leave something outside and someone steals it then you aren't a victim of theft?
  5. "I can't." John whispered. "Saaphir is dead because I wasn't ready."
  6. Frustration

    Trell spike...

    Trellium.
  7. I am certain I've seen this before.
  8. John sighed and began washing his hands, taking care to wipe the sink down after he finished. It wasn't perfect, but it was clean enough. Drying his hands John went out and grabbed some soup. "So, we have some guns, swords, knives and I just made a bunch of gunpowder. I'm going to be real, I don't think that's going to be enough."
  9. "Use the Force Nameless." Frustration whispered in his ear.
  10. "Relax, it's only on my hands at the moment."
  11. "I'll be just a second!" John called from the bathroom. He had taken the liberty of converting the room into a lab. A bucket he had found sat in the shower as he used a brick he had collected from the collapsed building to grind the ingredients into a fine black powder. Standing John looked at his hands which were covered in grime, and then at the sink which was pleanty clean. Moving the bucket to a corner John poked his head out of the bathroom. "Could someone help me turn the faucet on, my hands are filthy."
  12. "Just a little bit."
  13. John set the bags down. He did need something to eat, and everyone else was exhausted. His plans could wait. "How about I cook and both of you rest?" John said.
  14. "Do you have a bucket, and somewhere I can make a bit of a mess?" John asked. Carefull not to disturb the guns he pulled the bags of fertalizer, charcoal and the stump remover out of the cart.
  15. John whistled. "Man, what have I been doing with my life? You've been living better than I have."
  16. "I'm just borrowing a bucket, unless you have one." John said, pushing the shopping cart into the elevator.
  17. "You never know when some extra cash might come in handy, and besides, if they have any more lifegivers like that last one we're going to need every bullet we can get." "Alright, where is the janitors closet by any chance?"
  18. John quickly ran between the pacis bodies, grabbing everything he could. Guns, knives, cash, comlinks and more were placed into the cart.
  19. Because it's the second most populated planet in the Cosmere with a chance at being the most, and is far ahead of planets with multi million populations The army is only about a few hundred thousand, and most of the food is mostly brough in or farmed rather than soulcasted. And Alethkar has more soulcasters than most other nations. Fair enough.
  20. I think you vastly overestimate the number of soulcasters, there are hundreds of millions of people on Roshar, all spread out over an entire continent, and only a few soulcasters can even make food. Not to mention the fact that soulcast food is inferior to regular food. Yes, but the question is how?
  21. So force all humans to move despite the fact that with the possible exception of the Heralds none of the living humans did anything wrong? Or force them to subject themselves to a different government because the new government is run by the decendents of the people who owned the land seven thousand years ago? And what about the human settlements in places the Dawnsingers were never able to reach like Urithiru? And what about Horneaters and Herdazians who have mixed heritage? And how do you even begin to factor in the Aiamians? And Honor in many ways ruled over all of the Dawnsingers, and he chose humans, so does that mean that the humans had the authority to move into the rest of Roshar and the Dawnsingers were in rebelllion? I don't think any answer will solve all of the problems on Roshar. Now that's not to say that a Singer state cannot or should not exist, for example RoW But evicting all humans from Roshar creates more problems than it solves.
  22. It's Cultivation's rhythm, or the rhythmized version of Cultivation's Pure Tone.
  23. "Somewhere I can make a masive bomb without civilian casualties. Somewhere in the industrial district could work, I could swipe some chemicals and other weapons from nearby factories."
  24. "I don't want to interupt, but we should get a move on before the pacis try anything again." John said glancing over his shoulder.
  25. Well you do now. Would you like to purchase colored mentions?
