Yeah, I got a preorder in for Q2 next year. Since my steam library is extensive and switch leaves a lot to be desired (IMO), I’m excited. I think this will be the definitive way to experience the early Trails games, best of all worlds.

On vacation so only have switch. Finished Trails of Cold Steel 3 last night and immediately jumped into 4 this morning since it’s a rainy day. Also kinda really back into Tetris 99 these days

Finally finished CS3 last night. Def my favorite of the Erebonia arc so far. Rainy day at the beach so I’m playing the prologue in CS4 now. Nice to see some very old faces popping up.

Anyone manage to get a preorder for Steam Deck in? I did, but mine won’t possibly be ready until a year from now basically lol

CS3 Chapter 2 day 2 stuff:

So my switch physical copy of CSIII keeps freezing totally up. Chapter 2, every time I enter the dorms. I tried completing some other quests to see if maybe that did the trick but nope. Ugh. I bought this ages ago so no chance of returning/exchanging it, either.

Wow, that was eventful midchapter 1 in CS3!

Unless you enjoy reading novels from the middle, I’d recommend playing CS 1 & 2 first.

Still meandering through CS3 myself. Only in Chapter 1, but overall I feel the pacing is better than CS1/2 so far. I like the new cast members a lot too, especially Juna, and want to know more

Wrapped CS2 just now. Gosh I always seem to forget that every time you think you’re close to the end, you’re not, in a Trails game. It can be called Epilogue and they’ll throw a multi hour dungeon at you. Overall I thought CS2 was a bit middling as far as Trails games go. Looking forward to CS3 with all the praise it’s gotten around the net. I’m gonna switch from PC to switch for this one since I’ll be taking some vacations.

Yup. Was planning to switch that to Fie soon

Kinda having fun breaking CS II on normal mode. I’ve got Fie equipped with an orbment that makes counters automatically critical, and with gear and orbment I have her at 100% evade XD

CS2, Chapter 1 Act 2 stuff:

Just wondering for planning purposes, anyone have thoughts on the Switch ports of CS3 and 4? Gonna be traveling quite a bit over the next 2 months, portability would be a plus. Would prefer PC but if they’re not terrible ports, I wouldn’t mind double dipping. Obviously I’ll miss out on previous save bonuses which kinda sucks, but I’ll survive.

Just played the end of Chapter 5 and about to hit the practical exam for chapter 6 in CS1. The end of chapter 5 was fun, and great to bring things full circle with the opening.

I think “The Glint of Cold Steel” track might be dethroning “Fate of the Fairies” as my favorite regular battle track. What is everyone else’s fave?

Glories of PC gaming: posted on another forum how the turbo feature in CS1 actually just skips stuff in combat and also messes up certain spells (specifically noticed the ones that are supposed to draw enemies towards a center point don’t work). Got pointed to a fan patcher that fixes the turbo skip issue, installed an HD texture pack, fixed some lip sync and other small bugs. Feels like I’m playing the definitive edition now! Story wise, we’re at the 4th field study.

Haven’t played much as I want yet today, but so far I’m at the third field study at . Have let out a few squeaks of delight so far at seeing old faces, primarily . Still getting used to the voice acting for . Also enjoyed meeting again.
