I know it's a small thing, but you said that the Navani invented the flying ship. But,(SPOILER FOR WAX AND WAYNE ALERT!) if you noticed, Mraize's babsk is a woman with a mask tied so tightly her skin grows over it. In Bands of Mourning, Alik mentions a tribe of Southern Scadrians who wear masks that their skin grows over. Also, Wax and Co. escape on a flying ship. Navani can't seem to figure out how it works.
