    UGH! SO MANY CONFLICTING EMOTIONS! "Rose?" Star asked. She took her daughter's little chin. She had grey eyes. Like her father used to. She hung her head, weeping.

    Emotions churned inside of Thought. Part of her wanted to stand and face Samika. To face her challenger and kill her like every fool before who had dared defy her. But she knew she couldn't do that anymore. She was nothing more than a little girl in a world she didn't understand, her only weapon a staff. The part that understood that wanted to hold onto AJ and shut her eyes and pretend that she wasn't terrified and that AJ would make everything all right.

    Thought took AJ's hand and looked him in the eyes. She shook her head. "We need to trust Tom," she said. AJ sighed and shot a glare at Tom before sitting down again.

    "What does that matter if I shoot her in the head?" he growled. -------------- Thought trusted AJ, but they were playing at things neither of them understood. If Tom wanted him to back down, then he probably should. Probably. She stayed silent.

    So, the beloved choir teacher at my school is leaving us next year because she wants to spend more time with her children. Anyway, we had a student teacher this year who loves Sanderson. He's graduating and will be able to apply for the job. My friend Torin made a petition and I - and all the choir nerds at our school - would be so grateful to all of you if you'd sign it!
