    Arvis perked up. Arabella? That was the name of the girl they'd captured on Riva's account. "Who wants to know?" he asked, loud enough for the voice to hear him.

    Though Darrin did grunt, he recovered quickly and returned to trying to wrestle the man onto the ground.

    AGH THIS IS TURING OUT SO STORMING WELL. This is a portrait of Star in Castle Celeste and I will ink and color it but it’s just looking so good already. I love how proud and full of love she looks. She is a mother and a queen and a very powerful woman and she knows it.

    The guard tied Wendy's hands behind her back and led her to the dungeons unceremoniously.

    "I'm not sure, miss, but I know you'll be there longer if you don't come quietly."

    "The dungeons, miss. Caden's orders, anyone wandering about is to be imprisoned."

    "No, miss, the castle is on lockdown. I'm afraid you'll have to come with me."

    "Oh, no, miss. Not many places I could go, after all, what with the lockdown." He chuckled, a twinkle in his brown eyes. " 'sides, you'd probably get lonely without me, I'm thinkin'. Wouldn't be too chivalrous to leave, miss." A guard spotted a young woman wandering the halls. "You there!" he shouted. "What are you doing wandering about!"

    "The balcony, sir, a floor directly below the king's room! I was cleaning the window and all of a sudden he landed right there in front of me. I feared for my life, but all he did was jump down." "Right-o, Lady Eleanor!"

    Why don't you fight back? Darrin thought. The man was trying to keep him here, wasn't he? Well, then that meant he just had to end the fight even faster. He charged his opponent, looking to wrestle the knife from his hand. The guard found the General and saluted. "Sir! This woman said she found suspicious activity." "An assassin!" the woman shouted. "He wore black, sir, and had a bow and arrows!" @The Ward's Guard

    "Could be," said Nicolae with a shrug. "I'm really not, sure, miss. Don't suppose there's anythin' I can be doin' for ya now?"

    Maverick watched with sorrow as the poor child was dragged off by the General. Stars have mercy on her soul, he thought, bowing his head in mourning. Who knew what terrible fate awaited her? ------ Arvis glared as he was marched down to the dungeons. What a stupid reason to be detained. His anger, however, was just a cover-up for what he really felt: fear. He could be executed, alongside his two companions. And for what? This would be no glorious battlefield death. He would die a coward and a traitor, his name to become as much a cautionary tale as Vadim, that castle guard who'd been tortured and killed. And, worse, that little girl could be die because of him. Perhaps he could have found solace in the fact that it wasn't likely the Raveness would inflict her unholy torture upon him. He'd been following her orders after all. And yet, the thought was soiled by worry. Sure, he wouldn't fall beneath that witch's knife, but that poor little girl... He sighed hopelessly. Get him on the ground. That was Darrin's goal. Knives were awful to fight with. He really should have brought a sword, but he'd though tonight's job would go swiftly. Chiding himself, however, could wait. For now, he needed to end this. He threw the small dagger at his opponent's heart, then swung his leg in the hopes of tripping the man after his knife struck.

    Arvis walked hesitantly forward and Rian followed. The third guard - Igor - stood and followed as well. Igor put his hand on Arvis's shoulder. "I'm right behind you, friend."

    Riva scoffed. "Oh, please...." But she made no argument. Going to the washroom was looking to be an impossible task, it seemed. Arvis paled and hung his head, terrified. His friend spoke up for him. "What are you gonna do to 'im?" asked Rian.

    "I-I knew, Sir," Arvis stuttered. "But you can't expect me to disobey Lady Raven... can you?"

    "No, as a matter of fact, I did not. Perhaps you should have told all of us in the room what exactly was going on before you simply took over. We're not your soldiers, Caden, we're the court. We're not mechanical and we don't just snap to follow orders." She eyed Arvis. "Do get up." The guard stumbled to his feet, shaken. "Yes, miss," he mumbled.

    "I'mma wishin' I could tell ya otherwise, miss, but things don't look too good. I'd a-guess we're here for least an hour, probably more." As Caden began yelling, sounds in the ballroom quieted. Nicolae raised his eyebrows. "Oh, boy, this had gotta be good... Caden's bad news, miss. A dangerous man, he is. They call him the King's Dog." Riva scoffed. "ENOUGH!" she yelled. "The man was following my orders, Caden, and he did quite well. You take the girl if you wish, but let this man go." @Vapor

    "A-and let them escape, s-sir?"

    "This happened not three minutes ago, sir."

    A serving girl was running down a hallway. She was stopped by a guard. "Miss, the castle is on lock down. Where are you going in such a hurry?" The woman was nearly hysterical. "There's an intruder! I saw him! On the balcony. He was wearing black, I think he's an assassin!" The guard paused. "You should come with me, miss. The General will want to hear about this..." "She was running away from the castle, sir. And there was another woman with her, but she got away."

    It had been too long since Darrin had sparred one on one. He grabbed a second dagger from his side and ran forward, going in to sweep Jasper off of his feet.

    Darrin caught it, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this."

    "Preeeeetty sure," Darrin said. His heart was pounding, but he didn't let any of his fear show. He carried knives with him, of course, but he was no good at throwing them and he didn't have a shield.

    "T-to the servant's quarters, sir. Like the Lady Raven said." Darrin was running out of options. But he continued to leap down, finally hitting the ground. "C'mon, let's get on with this, please," Darrin whispered anxiously. He couldn't exactly just high-tail it out of there. If the man had another knife... But, well. Darrin was itching for a one on one fight anyway.
