I joined the Shard on a whim after lurking for a while, and it’s been such a wonderful experience the entire time. Thank you to the staff for making it such a great place!

I never realized how little I actually knew about Sel until now...

The delvers never struck me as being the big bad, or even evil. They always seemed more like celestial beings, completely separate from the plane that these smaller beings—humans, varvax, diones, etc.—live on.
I believe the delvers’ role in future books will be more of a neutral role, or maybe they split into factions like the Superiority did. Winzik seemed to be trying to weaponize the delvers, and I believe there will be more progress on that front, with both sides manipulating this force of nature against each other to win the war.

Interesting how two different people read the same book and have very different reactions, but with completely valid opinions. It's almost like--gasp!--people are different and don't need to conform to everyone else's opinions. I like how we got two different reviews for this book, showing two very different opinions.
Personally, I lean towards Grey's review, as I LOVED Starsight, but I don't dismiss Jebus's opinion. His review was entirely valid.
As Wit explains in the Oathbringer epilogue, all art is subjective. Everyone's going to enjoy this book differently, and THAT'S OKAY.

"Urban fantasy" sounds more like Dark One than Snapshot to me. But who knows!
Dark One being urban fantasy makes me very intrigued.

Really great episode, both interesting and entertaining!
I heard the idea of Shallan and Renarin being together in one plot, and now I can’t get it out of my head. I need this now...

I think it's funny (and sort of ironic) that Brandon uses the dead mom trope a lot, yet makes fun of it in Alcatraz.

My personal theory is that she is his daughter, although I have nothing to back it up besides the fact that they both have white hair.
I could see that.

If the Silverlight novella needs to wait until the Threnody novel, I wonder if Nazh would play into both... He’s an assistant to Khriss, who’s a scholar—Silverlight is a university—and his roots are in Threnody. It fits too perfectly.

Is one of the main characters going to be a Parshendi?
The main flashback character for this book is a Parshendi.

I’d be more happy to be wrong on this one, but Brandon’s previously mentioned that he writes about 30k words a month.
At that speed, it’s mathematically impossible to meet the 1 Jan deadline.
Here’s to hoping that Brandon can turbo charge with vol. 4. But, I am thinking late September 2021 release at this rate.
He’s said on Writing Excuses that he tries to write at least 2000 words a day, so I’d assume he’s able to hit that January target.

There's so much great music on that playlist! Thomas Bergersen, Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy...

Never has a title been more fitting. I laughed so hard for the first 10 minutes.
Also, since Eric asked: I love the WoB episodes.
