  1. Agreed. OB's ending had me from "You Cannot Have My Pain," until the final word of the epilogue. I love the rest, but between how heartbreaking and awesome and heartwarming that finale was, it wins for me hands-down.
  2. What if...what if YOU'RE MARSH AND YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IDEAS?!?! I'd say wait until Gen 8 comes out to collect all the Pokémon. But joking aside, I think Marsh might be able to find a community that accepts him more willingly in Silverlight/with the in-universe Seventeenth Shard than just on Scadrial.
  3. Find out the limits of what Nalthis will import. Join the Seventeenth Shard. Invent the first restaurant chain. Catch all the Pokémon.
  4. Does this mean that a Lerasium spike is potentially more dangerous to Hoid than Nightblood?
  5. Moash because he's not even fun to love to hate like Mr. T. But other than the obvious, I'd say either Balat or Jushu. I think Balat would make for an...interesting...Dustbringer, but Jushu just annoys me.
  6. http://sortinghatchats.tumblr.com/post/121904186113/the-basics It more or less refers to when a reason behind what they do is lost. Like the example they give for Gryffindors is that they believe that doing what's right matters, but what counts as right and wrong they really can't tell for themselves anymore (their own moral compass is gone, so they rely on an external one).
  7. That last ASoIaF got a laugh out of me. Let me see what I can do there too ASoIaF
  8. Avatar (like everybody above): MCU (AVENGERS ONLY) (in Sorting Hat Chats style) Mistborn Era 2
  9. Kaladin x Jasnah (Tarah in Second for Kaladin, Azure in Second for Jasnah) - they could, if they give each other the chance, help each other grow and mature. Renarin x Lift POST-TIMESKIP (Rysn in Second for Renarin, Gawx in Second for Lift) - the cuteness factor would be too high. Like, Renarin giving Lift food as an incentive for learning to read (which he also would teach her), and Lift just not having an idea of what to do with that warm feeling inside of her chest. Also, Bridge 4 (read: Rock) would LOVE Lift. Rysn also works well for pairing with Renarin's nature I think. Taln x Ash - classic tragic romance. They want to be together, but the world always tears them apart. Szeth x ...honestly, I don't think he needs to be anywhere NEAR a relationship, but if I HAD to, maybe Lyn? Teft? Venli…? Bleh...nope. nope. I mean, maybe Azure, but still...nope. I feel like a Windrunner would be good for Szeth's sanity, but as a Skybreaker they'd fight too much. He needs someone/something emotionally and mentally stable in his life right now, and honestly Dalinar and Navani are the best he'll probably get for a LONG time. Glys x Syl - I could just see hyper-manic Glys driving even the super bubbly Syl a little crazy.
  10. Apparently my inner Truthwatcher slipped up lol. Either way, edited.
  11. Ha! It's more of an amalgamation of other different theories and jokes combined into slight humor. Either way I'm happy that Adolin and Shallan ended up together. Let's keep it that way!
  12. Kaladin gets with someone else? Adolin is actually a good influence on Shallan and she becomes a better character? Adolin dies and Kaladin takes up Maya and helps revive her, becoming an Edgedancer AND a Windrunner, and then marries Shallan anyways? I have no idea.
  13. Best thing about Stormlight? The oaths and how they reach people from all walks of life. I honestly didn't connect with them until about this time last year, and then when I was in a dark place, certain scenes in Oathbringer were one of the few things that helped me out. Best things I learned about this forum? How many Kaladin x Jasnah shippers there are! I'm not alone in the world! But slightly more seriously I've really enjoyed all the theories this place has. And not just the super well thought-out ones, but the crackpot ones as well. I like those because they make rereads extra enjoyable. I end up looking for clues for those crackpot/tinfoil theories and it's really fun.
  14. I agree with the theory about Stormlight going out. What that means for Dalinar and the Stormfather...I'd rather not think about that. But I think it'll leave Lift and Renarin (who I believe will be able to use Voidlight as an alternative source of Investiture). Add in Rysn with Churi-Churi and you've got a slightly altered version of The Girl Who Stood Up (which I also think would make for a poignant - if slightly underwhelming - title).
  15. Mistborn spoilers
  16. I agree, but at the same time, I'm a little worried about the "Song of X" format, if only because it makes Oathbringer stick out more*. The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, and now Songs of X...it just feels a little like Brandon had a pattern, broke it, and then is going right back to it. This could all change, but that's just a little of what I'm worried about. Also, the Eila Stele title came from last year, when we didn't know the working title yet. Now that we do...well, titles and things can change over the creation process. Either way, I'm sure I'll love the title in the end. *And yes, I know a potential title for Oathbringer was Highprince of War. But even that kept the thematic naming. Stones Unhallowed - assuming that title is kept - would break the trend again, but honestly I'd rather not go back to it right away. That's why I'll fight the "Songs of X" format for now.
  17. Feels like "A memory of Light" sorta title. Like a finale. I always thought the Book 4 title would be Eila Stele.
  18. Eshonai, completely. It was so sudden and so jarring that the wind just went out of me. Elhokar's death was the most tragic, but it wasn't surprising. Jezrien's feels like it has the most impact going forward, but there are so many mysteries surrounding that dagger that the death itself becomes a little muddled.
  19. Vasher, but not because I want to see him do anything cool. I think Vasher's interactions with the main cast so far has been really interesting and great to see, and I want more of it.
  20. Jasnah shows up to one of their cookouts and speaks the Unkalaki language. She realizes that Rock's lying about certain stuff and goes to confront him and then later Kaladin, only to realize that Kaladin (and the closest members of Bridge 4) already knew whatever he's hiding. But like Teft, the best thing they can do is be there for him and be ready for Rock to reach out to them. ...it would probably end with Jasnah thinking Bridge 4 is stupid for not addressing the problem directly though...
  21. Gavinor can help Jasnah see inside of the "big picture" to who that picture affects, while Kaladin will be forced to see the "big picture" in terms of Gavinor and who he needs to become, not just what the toddler represents to him. Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I can see Kaladin and Jasnah building a really solid relationship - if not a romance. And I'm already a really big shipper of the two! ...and yet, Tarah recently has been providing a really attractive pull. Maybe because she's so full of mystery at the moment. Maybe because she's the new "Kaladin's Homecoming" moment for us. I can't say why just yet, but I feel like once these two interact, I'll be able to sort it all out. ...or maybe Jasnah and Kaladin just co-parent really well while Kaladin gets with Tarah...?
  22. When you're excited about the future because then you can have sandershelves… When you really want to sort your family into orders of Knights Radiant but you're afraid to due to the lack of details so far (but my dad is a Skybreaker, full stop).
  23. Whoops sorry! It was sarcasm on my part at how Jasmin looks a little like Jasnah; and if she's sharing the cover with Kaladin then they're romantically involved. Nothing more than a joke!
  24. Yeah it's a great one. Only kicks in with some spare time, though. Also, Soulburner might get changed to Starburner! Also as an aside, I am both in love with, and intimidated by the sheer size of the SotS posts have gotten. A couple of years ago they were just simple year-end reviews and a potential book writing schedule. Now we've got breakdowns, upcoming sections, books, movies, games, etc. It's great and amazing, but I'm a little afraid that at some point Sanderson is going to have to cut off his Reddit/fan interaction because there is just too much to do and too many fans...
